Insane ebay auctions - VINYL, tapes & merch
NWOBHM mid-rarity stuff (7"s & LP's for that matter) are in a slump. It's really obvious too seeing it on ebay & even at recordfairs. So now is the time to catch up on certain items you haven't got for a decent price. Early death & black metal (on vinyl & cd) is going nuts though..even at recordfairs, the prices have gone up more 50% from last year.

Not an unreasonable price for it...but the postage seems a tad steep. I think the default must be set on 'Mir Space Station'.

So pretty much a good time for anyone who wants black/death stuff to stop buying that, invest in kbd-esque nwobhm rarities, then when the market switches back sell them at top dollar and buy all these big time black/death records for peanuts in comparison.malegys wrote:NWOBHM mid-rarity stuff (7"s & LP's for that matter) are in a slump. Re: Real Steel- lesson for sellers, QUIT ENDING YOUR GODDAMN AUCTIONS EARLY DUMBASSES! If someone is desperately offering you $X to close the item right away, it means the buyer is afraid that it'll sell for > $X if the auction continues to run! Gee, maybe you should let it run! How smart do you have to be to work that out?
And yet sellers are ending auctions early more and more often. Pisses me off
Someone closed an auction I was interested in this morning, after I had contacted him and he assured me he would NOT close the auction early. Thus, I was waiting to bid until closer to the close of the auction. What, my larger amount of money isn't as good as someone's offer who emails you pleading for a chance to circumvent the auction competition? I know politicians with more financial sense than that!
Congrats Sellers, you pulled one over on ebay and avoided paying a few bucks for the closing fee, and all it cost you was several hundred dollars of profit. Brilliant.

Honesty uber alles... One seller told me that he has nothing from my want list & also wished me good luck. Then, 2 days later he putted the cd he had of my want list on ebay...
