Indeed.

He definitely should have added in the description the fact that these are the re-issues, saving me - and others I presume that are also interested in the originals - from pointlessly contacting him.

The only description he gives is that they are in new condition. A dead giveaway perhaps, not enough imo.

I am afraid these will go for silly money.

Gee, a Greek seller failing to mention that their item is not an original... what is the world coming to? :)

Wow, maybe I should put up my sealed copy heh. And yeah, the pic of 'Metal' is clearly that of the reissue; the cheap computer effect.

Nightsblood, Alan, you seem to follow an awful lot of ebay auctions, how much are you actually buying off there?
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?

I simply asked if these were re-issues. His reply was simply enough "Good morning, they are re-issues". The entire conversation was in flawless greeklish. :)

Oh look, Metal has reached $48 now!

daniel- I do follow a lot of auctions, but I probably only bid on 1 in 10 that I watch, and I don't win even half the ones I bid on- I'm too poor and too cheap to be competitive on most auctions :)
Example: At any given time, I'm watching at least 12 items, often 20-30. So far this year I've bid on 13 items (avg ~2 per week) and won only 5 (2.5 per month).

Just added 4 more to the watch list during lunch :) I'm always interested to see what different titles are selling for, even if I can't afford them or don't like them enough to bid on them

I have over 50 on my Watch list and I am sure I will only bid on 1 or 2

For me it's like watching the stockmarket or reading the paper every day

I'd love to have a copy of that, wish I could find one, but not at that price.

I'm tempted to try to sell mine, but you know it wouldn't go for that price twice.

"MCMXCI"

Years typed in this format are just plain dumb.

What's the point?

Why not just have the actual number?

I've never understood this.
