That's the deal with VOIVOD, it's very hard to get into their stuff, but when finally you're into their world, you can't get out !!

Voivod & 'hate' do not match!

Maybe the word dislike may be more appropriate for the uninitiated..
Why are a wise man & a wise guy opposites?

You're right on this one. Even though I don't really "dislike" VOIVOD, It's more like I don't get the grip.

I never liked AT THE GATES, it always sounded too light in my ears for death metal, and the door they opened to the "göteborg death metal" afterward really disgusts me.

i don't hate any of those, as long as i'm able to ignore them.

There's good songs on it, but there's something bland & inoffensive about all those bands and most of their albums that just makes me go Zzz...

Megadeth and Testament´s debut albums are good!...but agreed on the rest of the stuff and the bands mentioned...Warlock has its up and downs....Anihilator never found it interesting....

I don't like ANNIHILATOR, too. There are a few good tracks on the first two albums. But, that's all. I have "King of the Kill" and another one, they're both uninspired and boring.

I've always loved Annihilator's flashy Thrash on their first album and I think the second one is good too. After that they got a little "meh" for me.

Well for most part they weren't even trying to be Heavy Metal in 80s so I think it's kind of unfair for them that some people want to lump the band in a category where they get judged for not being Heavy enough.
