Post by lunaboy »

OK.This one is new even for me because just a few minutes ago one of my friends posted link to Rapidshare.Year of recordings is unknown, but I ques that these songs comes from 1987-1989 period.By the way AUDRONASA (Stormbringer) started back in1979 and were one of the first HM acts in Lithuania.

They started back in 1979 as Hard rock band in small city influenced by Deep Purple. Were local heroes and had a good support from the crowd.Latter on(1985 - 1989) AUDRONASA became one of the most famous HM acts in Lithuania. They had very big crowd in all cities. One interesing fact.Vocalist of VOLIS Vitalis Kovaliovas started career in AUDRONASA,but relationship doesint lasted long.Just a few jears(1990...).And thats it.Band played til 1994.At that year the main running force of the band bassis Gaurelis were killed in pub by local criminals.Remaining members tryed to ressurect the band but it never happened.Thats it I know.I hope another guys enjoyed the music.Thanks.

P.S No official realises.

Oh sorry hehehehe, my mistake. Btw... How did soviet authorities reacted to undergournd groups like this? It's interesting that many awesome old school heavy, thrash and death metal acts that existed in the 80s very early '90s in eastern europe managed to flourish and coexist in communists regimes.

All i know is that they weren't allowed to distribute any official releases out of the country, they probably had no issues with how they sounded.Russian market was huge anyway before the split,so maybe they didn't even need to broaden their consumers,as far as sales were concerned. Not sure, but it is possible that they were restricted in a way.

Yes, I found this Audronasa recording too and it's surpprisingly good.
The guy who gave it to me said it's a 1979 recording but I highly doubt of that date. Sounds at least 5-6 years after.
Anyway, they sound quality is too much excellent for being just a demo: looks like an unreleased album or there has been a great restoring/remastering job behind.

I got also a full 1988 (or 1989) video show as well as one shot in 1992, but they turned into a more speed-thrash thing

I was wondering that a reissue of this "demo" along with the two existing video shows would be a nice idea, though it will sell no more than 100 copies...
