Agreed and petition signed. That chorus really makes me cringe.
Where should I sign and what are we gonna do to him (Tipton)?

Come to think of it this song would be a great shitty seven inch boot along with Maiden's Journeyman (or Mother Russia)! Manufactured and sold to accentuate the humiliation they both bring - to their listeners as much as to their originators.

I'd leave Tipton alone for now. Didn't find much of interest on Nostradamus, but I think/hope Priest may still have it in them to make interesting albums.

@Mordred: You just don't have a clue mate

Mother Russia!?! I LOVE IT.
The Knell - Voltz : Knight's Fall?
YES!

Manowar - Mountains (EPIC on toast)
Virgin Steele - Emalaith, Lion in Winter, Burning of Rome, Prometheus
Atlantean Kodex - From Shores Forsaken
Adramelch - Dreams of a Jester
Aeternus - Ild Dans, No Wine like the Blood's Crimson
Doomsword - Sacred Metal, Return to Imyrr, Shores of Vinland, HELMS BLOODY DEEP
Manilla Road - The Prophecy
and...
...the first movement of Mahler's Fifth Symphony.
Weigh anchor, hoist the sails
Cruisin' for booty on watery trails

Drawing my tiny sword/pen: I quite liked Nostradamus, except for the concept haha! Musically I thought it was pretty good, a bit too heavy on the bombast and orchestral stuff, but pretty neat tunes all the same. I also thought Angel of Retribution was okay. Judging a band that only made one acceptable album between 1984 and 2005, it's my thought they've taken some great steps in the right (but wrong, see above) direction lately.

Still, Loch Ness is plain embarrasing on all levels.

My two cents:

Angel of Retribution is OK. The best song is "Loch Ness" hands down.

Nostradamus is a bit too long but apart from that it's bloody marvellous.

I haven't heard any of Nostradamus, after their last album and that horrible show they played in Edmonton I have lost interest in their new projects. I consider them to have released the 2 best lp's ever, Rocka Rolla and Sad Wings. Have to admit that Nostradamus box set looks tempting though, maybe I should listen to it.

You're absolutely right! And no, I did not count DotF (1984) or AoR (2005), just the ones inbetween!

Not by (what should have been) their standards though?

I find Ram it Down (the song) acceptable (and quite good) also Blood Red Skies had some potential from what I remember. I need to listen to this one again for sure.

I did earlier this year and it's still bad. Even if it was by a random other band. I do agree there are a few acceptable songs.
