Yeah, I know it's a hella lotta work, but I think it would be worth trying, if anything else out of sheer principle. Another idea would be to disperse the data onto different servers (by year perhaps). And I still didn't give up on the project of the rating page. I asked the guys at gnosis2000 - sadly no answer have come - about the monthly cost of their project. I have asked several native suppliers of server space. I'm waiting for replies.

I just came across this post. Well, there is one, but it's in french language and more Black/Pagan-oriented than anything else. Not to add that at least one person that works here is a person with obviously no sense of Metal history (and it's most probably the older of the lot...).
