i love el dia de la bestia, great horror comedy. the director's previous movie "Accion mutante" is great too. theres not really too much metal in the film - theres one great scene where the priest goes into a record store with a list of bands he should check out and one is called "napalm dez". the "satanic" band that is featured in the film is def con dos who started off sounding like a really bad version of public enemy, and then later turned into a really bad rage against the machine type bandNecrotoxin wrote:Anyone here seen El día de la bestia?
Is there a prominent metal presence in this movie? Is it any good? Any comments appreciated.IMDB wrote:A basque priest finds by means of a cabalistic study of the bible that the anti-christ is going to be born on Christmas day in Madrid. Holy shit, these film-makers have truly been utterly clueless. You know 'normal' stupidity' is one thing, but when a story attempts to be a bit more esoteric, and comes up with ridiculous shit like this I can't do anything but laugh.

Isi Disi is a play of words with AC-DC in case you haven't figured out already. Can't remember well but they probably mentioned some bands there.
Don't know if it counts but in Opera (1987) by Dario Argento they have a speed metal music going on when the killings are done. If I remember correctly the music was made purposely made for the movie and the fictitious band name Steel Grave and its only two songs are only available in the OST.
They were mostly cheesy speed metal songs done considering all the cliches of the genre at the time, but I think they are awesome. Too bad there has never been available more stuff from them.
Check them out if you have the opportunity.
Also, a Motorhead song in one of the Hellraiser movies credits, forgot which one.
