The Corroseum, The Band

Post by Rock Beast »

How would The Corroseum sound like if it was a band?
I was playing with the thought a bit last night before going to sleep,
and I had a good laught.

In which perspective you want to look upon it is up to you.
But man, with all these dimensions of inspiration, ha!

Haha nice topic. I guess it depends on who the basic members would be, there are some significant differences in tastes here you know

Well, to me it would sound like the tape version of "Orden Satany"! He he...
But more seriously... it's difficult to say. Like a mix of Arkangel, Hell, Front and Messiah (USA)? Now that would be something!

Quite possibly a mixture of these:

None Shall Defy
Into Battle
Metal Conquest
Victim Of Time
Poisonoise
Take It Or Leave It
Black Writs
Worship Me Or Die
Land Of Mystery
Killing Technology
Back To The Weapons

:)

We'd get hungry for cash and blowjobs and start playing AOR in a heartbeta.

The first selftitled album got to have a selftitled theme song.

So come on and write it's lyrics!

No lyrics.

It has to be an epic intrumental that's roughly 8 minutes long.

OK, let's settle with a spoken intro then (in the "Far side of the Sun" style, if I'm to choose). Guess Dan has already written it - you all know it by heart and it inspires your every thought and action: http://www.thecorroseum.com/

Yep, the intro speech is settled, kind of self given. It should be read in a deep hilarious but haunting voice in broken English and naturally end with a high pitch scream "it was the ... heavieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeest!" and then break into some mind numbing speed metal mess with sloppy guitar riffening, deafening bass, offbeat drumming and let's not mention the vocals (who is up to it now that our singer Blackstele seems to have suffered a tragical gardening accident?).

Mandatory song titles should be "(T)rusty Shovel", "Heavy Metal Graveyard" and "The Thread Must be Locked".

Also including "Ban The Fucking" and the epic "Reclaiming The Cold Lake".

HAHAHA....

I seriously tried as hard as I could to keep a straight face while reading that.

I agree fully with those song titles.

Initially I planned to have sound added to the site intro, maybe nicking the intro to BH's "Black Death" or BATHORY's "Odens Ride Over Nordland" and add a voice chanting the message in question. Luckily I realized in time that it would probably end up sounding TOO cheesy.

<SPOILER>
An aquaintance well-read on the subject once pointed out that historically that line is incorrect - a light, sharp sword usually won over a rusty & heavy one. Bah! Praise Hail Ignorance I say!
