Favorite Brocas Helm Album
Favorite Brocas Helm Album
Well, I haven't seen this topic here, and as this is one of my favorite bands I just wanted to do this poll.
Well, in your opinion, what's your favorite Brocas Helm album???
Well, I couldn't choose one 'cause really I don't have a favorite one, but I think it would be Black Death or Defender of the Crown (I think this album is just AMAZING considering is post 2000, it sound like it was recorded together with Black Death).

I think my favorite Brocas Helm album is Into Battle. I really enjoy the heavy, raw and epic sound of that masterpiece.
Black Death is a very good album, but the change was too much 'extreme' for me.

Very hard to pick between the first two. I guess I vote the debut this time but they both are about 10/10.
Blackness is my music
Dark silver my guitar
Starlight feeds my power
Of flashing metal
Crescent moon must find me
Within a smoke of screams
Flames fingering my body
Wind howling through my dreams
I live in metallic fury
It seems I'm in control
For my fingers bring the thunder
To this storm called rock and roll
The songs afire inside me
Atingle with my fears
Will blaze and shriek a silence
That only you can hear
Blackness is my music
Dark silver my guitar
Starlight feed my power
Of flashing metal

I'd have to go with Into Battle. While Black Death has some great songs, it's much more uneven, and some compositions are just a sloppy, chaotic mess.
Defender Of The Crown is one of those albums I've heard once and not felt the desire to hear again. I'll give it another listen, maybe it grows on me?

This one was harderst to get into for me as well. I think the problem is that it's pretty long and doesn't have as good "flow" as the other two albums. It's still good though. Just takes more motivation and energy to listen through than Into Battle and Black Death.Khnud wrote: Defender Of The Crown is one of those albums I've heard once and not felt the desire to hear again. Into Battle for me that's for sure. The perfect blend of Heavy Metal and good ol' 70ies hard rock. I think that this record is the universal leading force in the entire metal underground (along with Metal Inquisition off course) imo.
Fav tracks...damn all of the but Warriors Of The Dark and Beneath A Hunted Moon are..........are......eeeeeeer.....well THEY KILL MAN!
p.s.if only this record had Satan's Prophets as well...................

Black Death for me, I like it a lot more than Into Battle (which is still a great album). BD has something very special, unique I don't find in the debut. (exactly the 'chaotic' some would complain about, I like most).
Defenders of the Crown I still haven't checked out, always suspected it being one of "those" reunion things..
