HEATHEN'S RAGE - "Knights Of Steel" Lyrics

Post by MassOfKthulu »

[Split from the Tantrum lyrics thread. /Mod]

as for the heathens rage track i ve been listening to that for 12 years now and im nowhere near deciphering it,too bad they never printed lyrics on the insert
i think it starts off 'now with the sound of thunder ..(near?) the castle walls
when the fire burns the gates we (held?) the conqueror
after that no idea til the ;i wish for you to take this land' break
I am so true my mp3 player's screen has slight ringwear

Difficult to decipher indeed, haven't made much progress myself. Here's my version:

I hear the sound of thunder, I hear the massive (roars??)
When the fire burns it ???, it held ..............
I have opened the (town?) of ??? with the key that ...........
Upon ......... underground, upon (the edge??) ............, not again

Now the time has come for us, the secrets are revealed
.......................... (before we shall not kneel???)
.......................... (with a scent of victory?)
..........................., I hear the massive call yeah

He said my son claim your (will??)
For you have met the ??? man
I wish for you to take this land
I wish you rule at my command

Nothing can stop us
We have the power, the power we just can't conceal
We will devour, no reaching hour
For we are the great knights of steel

edit: i listened to it again and added a few more

Ok here's my version so far:

"I hear the sound of thunder, within the castle walls
When the fire burns it…
I have opened the tower and stolen the...
.....................

Now the time has come for us, the secrets are revealed
We seek control of Life and Death, before we shall not kneel
...the scent of victory falls
The final word is spoken now I hear the master’s call yeah

He said my son you have done well, for you have met the tolling bell
I wish for you to take this land, and we shall rule at my command
Nothing can stop us for we have the power, the power we just can’t conceal
We will devour, the witching hour, for we are the great Knights of Steel

We are the great Knights of Steel, before which you kneel."

I'm going to listen to a different version at home later and see if it helps...

That sounds correct to me.

Ok, hope this brings some satisfaction Kyr if you've been trying for 12 years, I haven't had the EP for quite as many haha.

HEATHEN’S RAGE – ‘Knights of Steel’

I hear the sound of thunder, within the castle walls
When the fire burns the gates sweet hell will conquer all
I have opened the tower of stone, where the king and the queen lie dead
A thousand heads lie on the ground, upon the earth that’s red, now they’re dead

Now the time has come for us, the secrets are revealed
We take control of life and death before which I have kneeled
The air was cold and the wind is strong when the scent of victory falls
The final word is spoken now I hear the master’s call

He said my son you have done well, for you have met the tolling bell
I wish for you to take this land, on which you’ll rule at my command

Nothing can stop us for we have the power, a power we just can’t conceal
We will devour, the witching hour, for we are the great Knights of Steel

We’re the great Knights of Steel, before which you kneel.

I had been listening to this more again the last few days and then when I saw the new posts here I finally got down to working them out. I played it in MP3 form instead so I could just repeat certain passages, and fiddled with the equaliser so as to make the vocals as clear as possible, and there you have it. I tried doing this with the Tantrum song too but didn't really help, some things are clearer, but I still can't make out what is being said because it doesn't seem to make sense.

Congrats man, and even if it isn't 100% correct I'm pretty sure it's near it!

Things like this are definetely part of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of metal :) Not obsessing over what CD:s go for on ebay or catalogue numbers etc.

Right, 'Out On The Streets'

On the streets in the evening, on the loose in this evening
All the boys are all ready to play

When the passion is burning
When the wheels are turning
We are out on the streets again

You and I, we will run all night
We will run to the morning light
And we’ll know, just where to go
When we’re out on the streets again

Out on the streets
Out on the streets

Recognise us because, take your mind if you’re weaker
And you just lose total control

When we’re searching for freedom
It’s the fight, it’s the reason
And you’re hoping to take your place

You and I, we will be alright
Cos we know just what to do
And you will find, we’re wasting no more time
Because we’re back on the streets again

Out on the streets
Out on the streets
---------------------------------------------------

As far as I can tell anyway...
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?
One day you'll be among the dead.

What's the point in even mentioning this?

I could write a 12-page essay about how paying $500.00+ for a piece of vinyl is ridiculous, but I don't.
