It would be better for all of us if we all used only one language.

Silver Mountain 7"

Post by Metalipeiklo »

Info on the SILVER MOUNTAIN 7"EP needed!

Found this little piece today, a bargain to say the least. What puzzles me is the odd cover for this one. It differs from the one I've seen before with the band-pics on the cover. This one has a photo-copied cover with just an early version of their logo as front cover (plus an little ugly drawing), hand-written songtitles on the back cover with an added rollerball correction of one of the titles! The EP itself is a lot more pro that the cover though and is most probably original.

Has anyone seen this before? Can anyone tell me the story?

Thanks,

Metal and hell.

Is there any proof of existance / popped it out on any trade/salelist? Also about the Demo 1982/1983 that has been spread in the USA. I heard that the most/all of them were unplayable quickly because of the crappy quality of the tapes, but it would be awesome to own one anyway, just for collection. But I never see one nor is any other information about it in the net?
The EP was never released. As for the 82-83 material, it has been re-recorded on their last 2 records. After trying to remaster the destroyed/fucked up original masters and failing, the band destroyed them and chose to re-record them and the result proved more than satisfactory.
Thanks. The infos on the Book in the Black Widow release were quite unclear for me.

May I ask how rare is the Sabbrabells Debut? What are the usual prices for a good shaped one etc. I heard this and I like it a lot. Also the Black Hole LP is interesting for me.

Something about early CDs: I saw a few Törr CD of their first three albums. Thats the first time I see them. Do CD Versions exist of these albums? I dont want to buy bootleg crap.

Ja, da stimme ich dir zu. Deutsch ist eine scheiß Sprache. Habe selber manchmal Probleme damit, Genetiv<->Dativ und so.

The majority of the copies I've seen in circulation have been without p/s, so this is most likely a homemade cover made by a previous owner. If the vinyl is black, that one should at least be an original.

The Sabbrabells debut is rare & expensive as hell. Can't give you any specific prices, but we're at least talking 200+ euros. Sabbat666 might know?
BLACK HOLE should be easier. If you're lucky you might find one for 50-60 euros.

There is at least an official double CD w/ the 3 first ones + 1 disc w/ re-recorded old demo songs. They might exist separately as well, but someone else here might know more...
