Take comfort in the fact that it's not worth the £££££. Go track down Black Widow's Sacrifice instead, cheaper, better artwork and a fine musical proposition.
Yeah, I've heard some songs from that LP. Kult stuff, I like it.

Patrik- sorry you didn't win it. I too am still in disbelief that we ALL missed that copy at 170 GBP :( I can only assume someone pulled some serious black magic out to keep that auction hidden from everyone :)
I agree w/ Satan that 350 GBP was a good price for this copy, considering the cover condition. I guess it really depends on what kinds of cover wear a person is ok with. 350 GBP for some cover wear, or more than twice that for a NM copy whenever one turns up again.

'Gotta disagree about 'Sacrifice' though. While it contains a few cool songs, I've always thought that album (and band) were a bit overhyped. I'll take 'Widow' over Black Widow anyday, but hey, it's just a matter of personal taste :)

I don't have the link handy, but an orig copy of 'From the Fjords' closed at around $860 a few days ago. Now THERE's a high-dollar record that's not worth the money! (well, IMO anyway :) )

Not a bad price for a sealed copy I think

Agreed Khnud, and that's a pretty good price too. Not that I could afford it.

Did they originally come sealed do you think? Or could this have been shrink-wrapped in recent years maybe?

I would guess it probably did, though I have no way to know for sure. But most US and Canadian pressed LPs did come shrink-wrapped even from small labels. Also that cover looks fucking pristine, even though the pics aren't that good it's really easy to pick out any wear on a black sleeve.

Well this is definitely first Iron Maiden release ever on CD. I have the article from "Record Collector" in 1988 and that CD is listed there as first ever Iron maiden CD. Please note that the catalogue number is "CP32-5043" while the other first maiden releases have numbers 5107,5108, 5109 and 5110. However I'm not sure if originally the first press had red OBI strip while the copy listed has black one. It might be re-release with the same matrix number from 1986 while the first press was issued in 1984. The price however is absolutely ridiculous. The CD in mint condition with OBI is worthy no more than $200.00, without obi you can fetch a copy for even $50.00 if you're lucky.

Best regards,
Cezi
