Great festival report!!!!Although from the above mentioned would liked to see Piledriver and Defender.Something i disagree is that although at a KIT metal market is great varity, quantity there are many collectors who will grab first the bargains leaving most paying huge prices.I still prefer city record shops where you can score vinyls for few Euros. And last but not least congratulations Nicholas for your soon-to-come son.Headbanger from Birth

Skål Nicholas, daddy'o-to-be! Hope all will go smooth. Keep us posted..
Right, KIT.. what a fucking awesome weekend! After a 2 1/2 year absence it felt bloody awesome to be back. SABBAT was a near-religious experience for me. 20 years from hearing them the first time I finally got to experience this unique band live. So they didn't play Wildfire, Blood For The Bloodgod or Stranger Than Fiction, but I'd still rate it as one of my fave shows ever. My voice was really fucked after an hour of screaming along to those immortal lyrics and insane vocal patterns. HAIL!
DESTRUCTOR on friday was a blast too. Too bad the sound wasn't top notch though, since their music isn't the most dynamic in Thrash to be honest. But still, grrrreat show. I was planning to catch them on saturday too, but the beer-pause in the sun dragged out a bit and suddenly when I checked the time it was all over. Did they really do a different set as announced? I didn't miss much from the friday gig. Maybe "Bondage"..
WARRANT I've seen before on a Swedish festival 2 years ago and loved it. The KIT gig was just about as great, but you sort of miss the up-&-front feel when the band communicates in German. Guess you can't really blame them. Still I think they're a very good live band and you can tell they're having a great time on stage. The fact that "First Strike" was one of the first Speed Metal albums I ever heard makes me a bit bias towards their very straigh-forward material I guess...
Work is over. Pt. 2 tomorrow.

GREAT NEWS !!!!!
ince we got tons of emails concerning the limited amount of tickets for the friday show in april 2008, we decided to do both days now at the big hall in Lauda-Koenigshofen, so we will have enough tickets for all the fans wanting to come to KIT. So we will strengthen up the Friday a lot more and it wont be a warm up show anymore. We will do this only for our jubileum KIT X as a special gift for all the true underground fans from all over the world. We will now have 6 or 7 bands playing on friday with starting time 4 or 5 pm. We will only sell tickets for both days for 30 Euro and there will be daily tickets only at the doors. Presale will beginn on November 3rd 2007 at KIT 9. We will have four (!) bands worth being the headliner on the Friday, so it will be a crushing show. Here is already the first addition to the Friday: HELSTAR will play in their classic Remnants Of War Line Up an european exclusive show and play the album Remnants Of War in its entirety. So we have the following billing for Friday now:
TITAN FORCE (USA)
HELSTAR (USA)
(exclusive European Gig in "Remnants Of War Line Up" playing the album "Remnants Of War" in its entirety)
ATTACKER (USA)
(exclusive "Battle At Helms Deep" Show)
+ more
Friday April 4th 2008 Lauda-Königshofen Tauberfrankenhalle
