CRISIS-Keep fighting: some great screams here and overall a very good singer. Only problem is the guitar sound, or better the lack of it.

PROTOTYPE-Can`t you see: good and solid US Metal, no masterpiece, but very enjoyable. I would want to have this one in any case, but i don't think that will happen very soon .

Thanks a lot for sharing!

Crisis is great; heavy sound with awesome guitars. Protoype is similsarly great; the chorus is a lil' clunky but otherwise the song is great. These 2 definitely remind me of some of the rougher NWOBHM bands like Bolweevil.

Starfire is also good but not as strong as the other two. Still, I like the raw edge and no-frills approach, and the fact that they don't use high/shrill vocals like so many US bands did. Exidus is my least favorite of the fouor recent additions, but it's still a good song. The slower pace makes it a little less interesting, although the guitar work is still very good.

John- are the flip sides on these 4 singles as good as the posted tracks? Or are the flip-sides in different styles, commercial friendly numbers, instrumental fillers, etc? Thanks for any info.

Finally had some spare time to listen to these. Most were at least decent, but a few stood out from the rest.

Bastel - weird, unique vocals and a genuine cool atmosphere.
Axxe - great nwobhm-sounding track.
Starfire - very cool song.
Exidus - also a very cool song.
Crisis - as stated above, good pounding Priest-y metal. Falsetto reminds me more of Hellroadie though.
Prototype - actually this reminded me more of Priest vocally than the one above. At least 70's Priest. Except for that insane scream at 1.38!

Eclipse was a bit too 70's sounding to me, Freeway was average hard rock, so was Sabotage. Zynom was very modern sounding, perhaps a bit too much so for my tastes.

To summarize, the ones listed first are definitely records I would consider buying, if the price was right.

Just to clarify- did Crisis make a single, or is the track only on the Metal Warrior comp? Thanks for any info; it's a great song (I had completely forgotten they were on MW)

Finally got my sound back on my PC. So I could finally listen to these tracks.

Bastel : This band has great early epic metal potential. I wonder if they ever wrote such a track. Anyway, this one's good too.
Axxe : Great cracks, is there a song in there too? Once the metal kicks in this becomes a solid song.
Starfire : After the intro I expected a bit more fire :D But still a great raw and heavy song with loud solo. Good screams too.
Exidus : Decent, didn't really hit it off with me.
Crisis :  Best sound and heaviest of the bunch, great!
Prototype : Great song, the vocalist sounds best/great on his low notes and raw screams. Good use/sound of the bass too.
Eclipse : Good song, too bad the chorus picks up a little too much on '70s hard rock.
Freeway : Good stuff. I like second part/instrumental section of Streamline best. Where did they take the intro of Out On The Road from? Sounds really familiar.
Sabotage : Nice energetic rock. Great heavy guitar sound.
Zynom: Sounds great, but it isn't the whole song.

Any more information on the Prototype track?

All I know is that it's from 1984.
