Wow!

Anyhow, this has been about fifth original Victor pressing that was sold on ebay in the past few months (all w/o OBI). Maybe some unsold boxes have turned up?

Goddamn, ebay is full of all kinds of MJ crap, from thousands of domains at 20.000.000$ (!!!????) to 1.000.000$ Thriller LPs and MJ Pepsi cans for mere 100.000$!

Here's something that's actually going to sell: http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-Michael-Jackso ... tsupported

This seems kinda outrageous, but maybe it brings a lot more than I realized:
OLD YRON $1,000+
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0220488965

The bid history is interesting; only 2 people pushed above $600, and only 5 people bid at all. THe price stayed relatively low on this most of the week, so people had plenty of chances to put in a lower bid to take a stab at it if they wanted to.

Thoughts?

The typical ebay auction where the battle is played only by two mad bidders...that's the why of the monster-price....and after this i'm thinkin' seriously about selling my copy :D

If you do, hope you get two mad bidders going for yours :) That's one problem with these 'bid wars'; they give people a false sense of what the item is worth. If 2-3 people see this auction and decide to sell their copies, I seriously doubt they all get $1,000+ for their copies. But again, maybe this record really does sell for that much and I just didn't realize it

The funny part is that a lot of the time, the two people in the bidding war are the seller himself shill-bidding and one serious buyer.

True, which only makes the price that much more unrealistic; instead of there being two people out there willing to pay a huge price for the album, there's really only one!
