Great news! One of the best bands from Japan! The demos and the HMSS live LP are great as well.

Well complain to the band... that's what they want.

From now on, I will make it very clear I'm in control of all artwork, or the band can go find and artist, create their own ideas, and pay for it themselves.

I hear ya, I've ruined a lot of good artworks due to bands. Unfortunately they always want to be in control and this always happen when you show em the artwork in advance...

I have had the ultimate negative artwork experience recently. I've commissioned the artwork, paid for it, then had the band pricked about it until the artist ruined it completely by following their "improvements" THEN I got another artist redrawing it from scratch so it will suit their style better ...and two days ago I got an e-mail from the band flaking on me giving me the ultimatum to use their original art (which is a horrible, HORRIBLE piece of JUNK), so I ended up with wasting $700 and no release...

Shit happens I guess. I just try not to bother too much with it, else I'll get ulcer in no time.

Well actually I maybe like the red logo more (well blue was a nice color but wasn't the whole logo a slightly different?) but the Black Sanctuary text is kinda plain and boring. Nothing that ruins the cover for me but I'd think about changing the font or something.

Some people which have very low regard and appreciation for what other people are willing to do for them. For the sake of keeping it civil I'll keep their name undisclosed, at least for a time being.

Yeah some of these bands think they can make their shit look better than I can, so I say,... hire your own artist with your own ideas and let's see.

Don't bother asking me to do it and THEN nitpick everything....

Hey Mr. SK (just to totally change the topic) have you considered doing a '6 for $66' deal of some sort, with free shipping, on your releases???

I can't afford to do that because of the debt I'm already in.

If you want me to survive as a label $12/8 Euro isn't asking the world or anything. + I don't like undercutting other labels and distros stocking my stuff either, that wouldn't be fair, imo.
