Apart from all the bootleg "import" labels they carry on eBay. Plenty of their official releases are short-run duplicated CD-Rs. If you dont mind buying a CD-R with single page inserts for a full CD price, then I guess you should be okay. However, I dont think there are many people here which would buy a CDR release and feel satisfied with it, hence the warning.mega_lodon wrote:Hmmm, sorry for my ignorance but would you care to elaborate a little bit more about the bad side with Retrospect/vegascds?stormspell wrote:I think your wish may come true. I've bought a few CDs from him before. Yeah, the Kilbourn CD that they put out looks like a shoddy work (but I've seen worst from other "labels"). The rest were some bootleg CDs (eg, Adrain) that I got off his auctions. Those are cheaply made boots and I had expected that already before buying. Only thing I'm not too happy is the Virgin Steele CD that I bought from him, it's a Russian pressing and he didn't mention about that in his sales.

Your right on this, buying more usually is "cheaper" in a way from almost anywhere. I just usually don't have money to buy 10-30 cds at one timestormspell wrote: That's why it is advisable to buy more CDs and save on a combined shipping costs, because I can send up to 20-30 CDs in an Express EMS small package for flat $27.95 , which comes fully trackable and secure to any part of the world.

Will settle for high postage.

Sorry dude, I wish the postal services were cheaper and affordable.
Perhaps you can find the CDs from a local dealer somewhere close to you? When the time comes I'll list every dealer so people can choose whichever is best for em.

How about if in this topic we restrict ourselves to cd-related talk only, eh

You wont wait for the vinyl? Shame shamemordred wrote:I will order this of course. Been a fan of Jonah Quizz ever since I got their second demo in a tape trade back in 2004.

Seriously, DaN and Mr. Ogre will have copies so hopefully you should be able to pick it up locally and save on shipping.

Yeah, I was actually in the loop to begin with and I was supposed to transfer the old tapes to cd and pass them on to you. It all sort of fell through though and Dan handled everything instead. I think the band trusted him more, I don't know. The important thing is it's out and I will get it either locally or from you, all the same. Jonah Quizz is surely worthy of more attention.stormspell wrote:Seriously, DaN and Mr. Ogre will have copies so hopefully you should be able to pick it up locally and save on shipping.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found!

Hell Yeah, this is really great.DaN wrote:P-O, you'll get it from me or the band for free, no worries.
On behalf of JQ i wish to express our humble gratitude to Iordan and Stormspell for the eminent artwork and the audio work. Its amazing when i think about the raw material we provided. The first demo has been finalized with ONLY an old and badly treatened cassette-tape, the second demo we managed to salvage from my attic after about 27 years of "sleeping rest" through warm and cold nordic seasons, and when i now compare the original material with the actual refreshed cd-product i can only say RESPECT to Iordan and his co-workers. No tampering with the sound, just bringin out the energy and feeling. And to DaN - i Salute you for beeing the dedicated man you are and YOUR mission-persistance has highly contributed to making this JQ release a reality.
Best Regards,
Anders on behalf of JQ

I did a search for "vegascd" on google and found a lot of negative comments about the guy. The way he's trying to defend himself on a forum made him looks like a scumbag to me. But then again, in Metal scene many people just don't come clean. There are too many scumbags (in disguise).stormspell wrote:Apart from all the bootleg "import" labels they carry on eBay.
