I'm not entirely sure if I sold my old copy at the last record fair or not (I don't keep my sale-stuff at home) but if it's still there you're more than welcome to start a bidding war
Do you REALLY think these guy were tryig to be a metal band??

Barbarian is only cool for the cover. Ask Axecrazy, I think he has a copy for sale (at least he had in the past).
But does it slay witches?

Metal, Hard Rock.. I don't think the distincions were that clear in 1982. I definitely think that's what they were aiming for. The lyrics and the band name clearly shows they weren't trying to play punk/alternative, and the guitar distortion and I-wanna-be-dangerous attitude writes off classic rock, so yes, by way of deduction they're definitely HR/HM. And "outsider music" too of course, but no one ever tried to be outsider/real people/incredibly strange intentionally, did they?

I might argue the point that all the zillions of bad one and 2 man black metal bands out there could fall into this category, but then that opens another whole can of worms...

That's funny, I've always figured a lot of these artsy/extreme/"avant garde"/Burzum-clone/BlackEvölNoisewhatever-acts will eventually become an "Incredibly Strange"-genre of its own in a decade or 2. The vocals, the outsiderness, the naughtier-than-thou concept, the mere IDIOCY - it all points to Jazz-snobb Post-ironic Collectability in the future to come

Seriously, how can you guys actually want this LP?

I just tried to give this album another chance and can honestly say with 100% certainty that this stuff is GARBAGE.

It's something you don't listen to the same way you listen to Judas Priest or Iron Maiden.

The question i pose to myself more often when i listen to that kind of stuff is "What the hell were they thinking when they were composing this thing?". It just keeps my mind busy trying to find an answer to that...

My husband went to high school with Rich & Ray. We have the album. What do you want to know about them/the album? I'll answer what I can.

Hello swirlgirl. Basically we want to listen to it! It would be extra-cool if you could make an upload of this highly sought-after curiosity. Don't have anything particular to ask about them, but feel free to share with us any Wheelz of steel stories you might have!

Welcome, swirlgirl! Cool to see you singing up just to shed some light on this for us 8)

What I want to know? Wow, where to start...
What I'm really most curious about is how come the music turned out the way it did? It doesn't really sound like anything else, the musicianship, the songwriting, the lyrics.. it's all sound really "off" (to put it mildly)
..And It's hard to phrase a question like this without sounding a bit rude, but were those guys by any chance, um... "Special"?
