One I like and I didn't see mentioned is the 'All Hell let Loose' NWOBHM comp. I think it was an itlaian vinyl pressing of Neat's cassette-only comp '60 Minutes +' with a slightly altered tracklist. Includes the hyperspeed version of Crucifixion's 'the fox', an unreleased Goldsmith song that's better than either track on their single, and other goodies. A cd pressing (again, the tracklist was tinkered with) was released under the name 'Metal Minded'; some copies were paired off with 'Metal City' and sold as a 2-disc set (Metal City contained a few songs by each of Venom, Warfare, Saracen (post-heroes sints and fools material), and Avenger)
today i have listen All thrashed out CD and Unsigned III CD excellent compilations and one less great Tomorrow the world CD and thinking that i would like to find some more good speed/thrash bands that have only been released on v/a compilations on cd (or vinyl) like that three.
so searched and found this thread so i hope you guys have in meantime
found some more unknown compilations for recommendation!

I'm really hoping to get my hands on Ebony Rec's The Metal Collection Vol I and II. I have Vol III and even if half it is rather lame, the 'gooder' half has some absolute gems. Not in a way that inspires you to remember the band names, but I love the overall DIY/"looser"-vibe of those bands. Maybe I should rip it? Anyone got rips of I & II?
Re: The "Attack From Downunda"-comp. I know it's been a while since you offered to upload it, but if you still have the rip, please do!ION BRITTON wrote:I have a good vinyl rip of that comp, it features some really great tunes like the devastating and ultra-heavy "No peace for the wicked" of CONFESSOR, BLITZ's excellent "Key to your heart" or TOKYO's "Lonely hearts", which is great melodic metal (those who were members of Metal Treasures will probably remember it). The track from STONEHENGE is called "Warlords". Wanna hear it? Just say it...

Ah I must have missed that. Thanks!daniel wrote:I have that 'Attack From Downunda' on one of my gmail accounts, all the info was posted in the MP3 section some months ago...
Prime example right there. The version off the HMH comp sounds a lot more like their second (and much better) LP, rather than their first. Guess they learned from their mistake.Keir wrote:That's so true. Bitches Sin ruined a great song.
Edit: Concerning Heavy Metal Heroes, I've made good rips of both volumes if anybody wants to hear them.
