I’ve sent the files to a Gmail account, this way they will never need re-uploading.

Account: 0HORNofPLENTY0 (I guess typing 0hornofplenty0 works as well)

Password: likeaneverflowingstream (that’s ‘like an ever flowing stream’ without spaces if you had trouble reading)

Please DO NOT log out of the account, as it could perhaps cause trouble to others.

From the 1985 Canadian Metal compilation 'Moose Molten Metal' vol. I. I asked about this band many months ago but no one really said anything so I thought I'd post the track here. If anyone has any info about this cool horror metal band please post it here!

PALLAS - 'Eyes In The Night' 7"

Not really metal, or is it in a way haha, anyway a real favourite! The A-side is the same as the version on the 'Sentinel' LP, different recordings were featured on the first live release from '81 and on 'Heavy Metal Heroes II'. The B-side is very epic in my opinion, fits the cover art perfectly, and I love it.

COMMANDER - 'The High 'n' Mighty'

I think the album really gets going on the title track, the first two cuts are just missing something. The Rainbow cover is useless compared to Liege Lord's version, but that's about all there is to fault. Listen, to the amazing epic 'To Die By The Sword', the quieter section in the middle with acoustic guitar and keys is just so damn perfect! And then get blown away by the perfect ending: 'The Blade Shines On'!!!

Although the uploads are appreciated, this track is a 128 kbps rip.

As per the rules regarding uploads in Poisonoise nothing less then a 192 kbps rip is allowed.

I'm not sure if the rest of your uploaded rips are the same way, as I haven't got the time right now to download everything and check for myself, but if they are, they will all suffer the same fate as this upload unfortunately.

I'll have this link removed shortly and wait for you or perhaps others to fill me in on the quality of the rest before taking further action. /Mod

I've got the 12" single of this (it has an extra track) and I've never got around to listening to it! However I downloaded the tracks and I like the songs a bit. I think they work. Its a keeper! 6 years ago I would of hated it, funny how your tastes change with age.

Ok, I can understand the need for good quality, but are these rips so bad? They sound perfectly fine to me. I've never done this before and have spent hours recording all this stuff since I got to borrow a USB turntable for a week.

I think this is a matter that possibly should be discussed. the quality of these rips (and 128kb/s in general, imo) is not THAT bad. maybe we should leave it to anyone's decision which standards apply. for myself, I rip at 192kb but do not really have a problem with lower bitrates.

even if this is a rule written in stone, deleting the link as being "nothing less than 192kbps (..) allowed" seems a little bit too harsh imho. maybe a hint would have done, in order to follow that rule next time - as it is on the other hand not such a big problem to rip at higher rates, contrary to ripping everything again

after all, uploads should be encouraged methinks. just my 2 cents.
