VIRTUE - We Stand To Fight + Fool's Gold

Here's something for the NWOBHM fans here (which is probably everyone). Two releases from Virtue: We Stand To Fight, a 7" from 1985, and Fool's Gold, a demo from 1987. They're fast and melodic like Iron Maiden, but heavier.

For me this is probably the number one NWOBHM single of all time. It could have something to do with that it's one of the first NWOBHM singles I ever laid my hands on, but no one can ever say this is a bad one... It really has everything: great artwork, great singing, great production and great songs. One word: FLAWLESS.

The demo however, is a little bit behind in my book. But that's just compared to their single and really doesn't tell much. The Fool's Gold demo is really a KILLER too.

THis is such a great single. Used to have mp3s of this, but they disappeared in a bizarre computer accident. The single is on youtube actually - I listen to it at work all the time
