The DEZARK I need a copy without cut. GREAT record: A-Side 2 tracks of Ultra Crap and B-Side 2 tracks of Killer Power Metal
I'll dig out the BM info. Maybe we talked tro diff people (who knows)
He was a really nice guy.
Yes A side is AOR crap, Most copies have that cut corner.
Has anyone here ever really destroyed records to make them rarer? (I can imagine people doing that)
No one can do that. This is like raping a girl. No one can do harm to a nice piece of vinyl, can someone?
Actually it's not a totally unheard-of phenomenon. I read somewhere about certain dubious 78's collectors who would do just that when they came across large stocks of records they already owned, or just doubles they couldn't afford.
...And the collector-porn continues! Peter, there's a few more there I hadn't seen before, but you HAVE to start telling us about SHELLAN! (or is it 'Shetlan'?) Looks too good to be true.
And FIGHTER is really rare then? Damn, I've seen it at least twice here in Sweden for next to nothing, but never picked it up

We are all pornstars, aren't we?
So for SHEILAN: Another GREAT Spanish gem(m)
Most Spanish stuff is really weak but SHEILAN also TOP 5 really METAL, and the band comes from Africa!! Not really but it comes from CEUTA! Founded in Ceuta, the Spanish part of Africa in the only Spanish city that you reach from Gibraltar by boat only. So very interesting record, abosulte must have. (if you need a double I can help you, a friend has a double copy for sure)

Sad but true. Some people can't handle the fact that something they spent years and hundreds-thousands of dollars on suddenly shows up cheaper and/or in quantity, allowing others to forego the struggles they did in obtaining a copy. Other people simply want to be the only person with a copy period. "I've got a toy you can never get, so I'm better than you".
I destroyed a rare Elvis record once; it was one of his early recordings on the Sun label. I don't remember if it was a 78 or a 45, but I smashed the heck out of it... my dad never ever left another record out where a 2-yr-old Nightsblood could reach it

oh man...... smashing records...... I think most children will have damaged a record at some stage - well children of a certain generation anyway... Thnaks for sharing those pics of collections btw. I'd love to see more, even pics of more "popular" rarities!
