I think it's getting too messy. I once tried to do an "Evil Metal" compilation with tracks with the world "Evil" on it's title and was kind of a mess, this is even a bigger one. Maybe stronger limitations are needed in order to keep it organised. There must be hundreds of fire/ice songs.

Had another idea for a Corroseum compilation theme, if there's enough songs this could be a double.
I was thinking of a comp of non-Metal songs by Metal bands, those occasional unfathomable songs which bear no resemblance to the rest of their canon, but still rule.
Perhaps a second disc of songs by non-Metal bands that rawk if such things exist?

That's a very interesting subject. First song that came to mind was MAGNIT's "We Exist Without Feeling Our Land Underneath" - the best Pink Floyd-ripoff by a Metal band ever?

That is a good idea. I agree with those who find it more interesting to base the compilation on musical content rather than songtitles. Although it's fun to talk about either!

That's one of the songs that i had in mind myself! Maiden with acoustic guitars and a proggy song structure, and it makes total sense. Who would have thought it? Especially at the time it was released.
I just love it when bands break the "rules", and still manage to maintain their identity. It so seldom works, but when it does, it's a thing of beauty.
