nightsblood wrote:Dragonforce- ultra beatdown. Dumb title, dumb art, but incredibly fun. I realize the tr00 kvlt thing to do is bash them for being a popular band featured on video games and what not, but IMO they're one of the most entertaining bands of recent years, and UB is a great rebound from the disappointing Inhuman Rampage (and no, I've never played Guitar Hero in my life :) )
Dragonfarce are not the first band to speed up their guitars in the studio, but probably the first to make a career of it. I call it "Chipmunk metal" - could be funny, but in very small irregular doses: to say 2-3 carefully selected 30 seconds clips or so...

Sorry to have to bring it up, buy you like Gaygonfarce, but you don't like Van Halen...? I don't understand?? Betcha you ask those DF guys if they like Eddie VH and they'll probably say it's the reason they started playing guitar in the first place.

If anything here belongs in a bin, it's nightsblood's musical preferences.

I just wish to say Dragonforce are below despicable in my list. Commercial heavy Pop coming from a band that used to be Nazi BM.

ZZZZZZZZZZZ........

Talking about such bands on the Corroseum is embarrassing...

I think I need to have a chat with Dan regarding which other band names should be censored to "my gay lover"...

Well, if you think they were not nazi, I suggest you read the following, from "In its original mid-90s incarnation, Demoniac..." onwards (it's around the middle of the page). If you're up to it, read the whole article. I found it long but well worth the read!

Anybody mentioned the new Battleroar album?Much(and i mean MUCH)more cool stuff than their previous releases, faster, heavier in a "Running Wild -Death Or Glory circa- jamming with Manowar" style. You guyz should check out tunes like "warlords of Mars" , "Dragonhelm" and "Born in the 70ies"...............

It is a cool album. I got to listen to a lot of good stuff around the current site update recently. BATTLEROAR and ETRUSGRAVE left excellent impression. However, my favorite is HEATHENDOM - what an awesome King Diamondnesque masterpiece! Superior to Portrait in my opinion.
