on that note

445. Seeing Manilla Road live now that Shark is over 50, the band still in top form, amazing force on stage, inspirational. There knowing that Heavy Metal doesn't steer me wrong and that I might have chanced at an early age, on a right path. The magic is borne upon the soul.

447. Bryan "Hellroadie" Patrick helping Manilla Road to soldier on by filling in where the Shark is being held back by age or whatever, by mimicking Shelton's vocal style and voice tone with such accuracy that it's nigh on impossible to tell who is singing unless checking which mouth is open and which is shut. Magick is born upon the soul.

I didn't see the list of Norwegian bm items that got removed, so not sure what happned there. Plenty of non-obscure bands refs have been made, including ones to non-Trad Metal bands. If we can hail things like Autopsy in the list, why not the wicked atmosphere of Burzum's "Hvit Lyss Tar Oss", the creepy funeral vibe of Limbonic Art's "Moon in the Scorpio", or the absolutely pummelling attack that is Dawn's 'Slaughtersun-Crown of the Triarchy'? I don't mean to drag out the issue, but for a thread like this one I don't see any harm in including black metal items, especially since we've a long way to go to reach 1001. And besides, how many Manilla Road refs are necessary? :) I could see removing the bm items IF they included drivel like "it's so cool to burn down churches in the name of Varg Vikernes" or "black metal = white power". Again, I didn't see 'em, so I don't know what they contained.
Just my 2 cents, onward to 500!

Actually, church burnings were one of the "reasons".

And I agree that 20 Manilla Road references really aren't necessary...
