JonahQuizz wrote:369: Heavy metal can have lyrics like this:

”Back at her place
She was in the mood
She sucked and licked my food
When it was running all over her face
She rolled over and then we screwed

Next morning do you know what she said
She said ”Will you be my guy?”
I just got dressed and I walked away
I said ”Now girl, I don’t stay”
I think those are some of the stupidest and most embarassing heavy metal lyrics of all time. It reminds me of awful glam/hair rock crap like "She's Only Seventeen."

389. Listening to songs like Heathen's Rage - Knights of Steel on your way to work can make it really hard to just sit still on the bus.

 Any accusing stares or quizical gazing in your general direction? Bet they thought you were on drugs. Or did you use a portable stereo so you could share it with everyone?

384. (I couldn't see this in Pataphysicien's list) The Metal Brotherhood - it's a naïve notion, but when it actually works out that way, there really is a feeling that we're all in this together.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

390. Sitting alone at home in your rural depopulated region not having seen a real metalhead since the last attended KIT festival and blasting Breaker's Together We Are Strong on your stereo, shouting along and getting all misty-eyed - feeling the genuine warmth of the fellowship that is Heavy Metal.

(inspired by 384, thanks Knut!)

Yeah, I must say I'm with Avenger this time. I don't agree with any of the last bunch of reasons.

Maybe you could blame the Atlantic Ocean. Hint: I wasn't very serious, certainly not emotional. Forgot that (self-)irony (even of the nicest heartwarming kind  ) may well be a sin in some parts of the Heavy Metal community. Let's blame the sea.

Still - I got to make amends. Calling Breaker (Germany) again:

391. The rage and the fury kicking my balls (which is meant to be a good thing in this context) whenever I play Streetfighter and Rapist Killer off the great Dead Rider album!!!! "HEY, GET OUT OF MY LIFE!" :D

Fair enough, I see the point and take it that "mine" are included there. They are personal ones and dear to me and my "relationship" with metal. If they're not witty or specific enough for others, you're of course free to ignore them.

Personal sentiments aside, ones I feel should be there regardless:

the riff
feedback

I actually like them in their unspecificness, but if that's too woozy and esoteric feel free to ignore them as well. Plus they might disappear when the 666 nicest ones are distilled. Didn't I read that that was the plan somewhere? I think that would be a great idea anyways.

Somehow I can't help to think that the list is full of clichés. I like most of them though.
