I'm going to have to cut back buying from overseas. Now I will just buy from overpriced UK distros instead

The £ has plummeted in value of the last few weeks. It was £1 = $1.95 odd in the glory days of the summer, now it is down to under $1.50 to the pound. £ to EUR is even worse!

It has certainly made me think twice about getting that Mystifier boxset :?

Yup that's one I won't be getting. I'm so broke, all my bills are really high, car trouble, trying to do work on the house.... At least I have my job, my books my records, films and garden - that's all I need really, just to eat and expand the mind!

I recently got laid off from my construction job. The company i was working for (Parson's) apparently didn't have all the permits for the work site that i was at. So they let some of us go. Fuck i'm pissed. I loved my job but because they fucked up we have to pay the price! Looks like i won't be buying any cd's at least for a little while. I hope i find a new job soon so i can purchase more metulz!!

It hasn't affected my buying yet. But if the currency rates keep going as they do now, I won't be importing much from the US in the coming months. Still, we can hope it's curtains for the dollar. Universal currency FTW.

Lets have all the third world countries gain the benefits and leech from those that are actually economically strong.

Fuck that...

You seem to forget that the economically strong countries are only strong because they leech from the third world countries.

Universal currency would mean bankruptcy of the US, so this will never happen anyway.

I hope that's some sort of ironic comment, otherwise is just stupid.

I don't see many effects to this so called "economic crisis". I think it was more of a scare to get people to vote.

Everybody seems to think they lost their money in the stock market, but as long as your shares are there, it will go back up.

Gas prices are as LOW as they've been in probably 7 years!!!

I see people spending TONS of money when I'm out shopping for my domestic stuff.

You have internet connection in the comfort of your home, you're not starving, you have heat, clothes, and metal right? :D

The holidays are coming up, we're all FORCED into spending money now...

Yeah, I got to find some decent CD/LP for my brother and he'll have to do the same for me. This has been our little stupid tradition since 1983 when I got Shout at the Devil (which I traded for Maiden Japan one or two years later) from him and he got On Parole from me. Man, it's getting harder each year (keeping track of one another's record collections). Other than that: Fuck the holidays!
