Summer 2009 festivals.

Post by nabel »

It's not even December yet but atleast Headbangers Open Air 23.07. - 25.07.2009 is shaping up really nicely.
Lineup is already excellent and I'm ready to get my tickets as soon as tax refunds hit my bank account early next month!

Bands announced:

Angel Witch
Bullet
Deathriders (Neil Turbin)
Enforcer
Jacobs Dream
Killers
Lonewolf
Manilla Road
Metal Inquisitor
Nightshade
Paradox
Portrait
Q5
Razor
The Rods
Scarab
Tankard
Tysondog
Zed Yago

Any other good festivals in July? Any other festivals worth the money next summer?

Calming down for an afterthought: Q5 and Nightshade. Where's the difference? I don't mean the records - but will there be two different shows? Do they consider themselves two bands? I can't remember ever reading any interviews about this. Any info?

Now: Back to normal!
RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR! RAZOR!

And Manilla Road!
(and Angel Witch, but they'll probably split again long before the show  )

Sorry for taking all the space but wouldn't it be great having Kevin Heybourne guesting on Dreams of Eschaton as well as the Shark paying tribute to the origin of it on Angel of Death?

I'll see you there Nabel. The tickets are here, a friend is taking care of sleeping arrangements and we're coming on strong. Will be a great time, though I might want to have something more sensible to say to Mark Shelton than at KIT X

Got my ticket for HOA already, there's no way I'd want to miss this nwobhm-fest! Angel Witch, Jameson Raid, Scarab & Tysondog all at once is almost too good to be true.

Sleeping arrangements? It's in the middle of summer, surely camping must be the only way to go! 8)

I'm not camping. I'm old, fat and I'm loaded with cash. And one of those characterizations is a blatant lie.

Now that I think of it, I always had a hunch you were younger than you seem to be.

I work as a teacher, and those blasted teenagers keep reminding me I'm old. I could easily have been their father (well, not when I look at their mothers, but you know what I mean). And I'm not younger than I seem.

Not sure about that rocking part. Let's just say I have a slight notion on how to rock.

Good to hear. How about the rolling and the tumbling? (trying to solve the quizz here...)

Are there any 5 star hotels in the HOA area?

I can't miss this.

Only four star. Seriously, if someone is gonna sleep in hotel he/she better rent a car. As the festival is middle of fields and nearest village is far away getting a taxi in middle of the night would be pain in the ass. It would be even harder than in KIT!

We're staying at some youth hostel or something that a friend found relatively close to the festival. Not really a hotel if I assume rightly.

OK, hands up all here who think Razor will actually turn up and play at HOA. Stand up and be counted - I for one will only believe it when I see them on stage.
