Helm, how do you draw all these small dots? There are hundreds of them! I like it this way it's very detailed and it brings to my mind the Rudimentary Peni artwork.

Digital airbrush and noise textures, Ion :)

I'm glad you guys like the cover. I'll upload a print-worthy version at the end when the compo is done in case anyone wants to make a physical copy.

Seeing as how Helm has done such a beautiful job on the artwork, (it looks great!), we're gonna have to get our fingers out and figure out the logistics of putting this thing together. As i said earlier, i'd do it myself but there's so many tracks and bands that i don't have & have never even heard that it's out of my hands.
I do have the following :
Hellion, Y Diawled, Taist Of Iron, Heart, Sacred Few, Acid, Wendy O. Williams
Is anyone up for providing some of the others?
I'm not even sure how would be the best way to assemble the comp, any ideas?
One way to do it would be for contributors to rar the needed mp3s and pm the link to whoever is gonna put them together.
I don't mind doing the grunt work, but if people don't post the songs they voted for i don't want them coming back crying about it. Contribute!
I just know i'm gonna regret this, but i'm dying to hear the damn thing...

Thanks. Too many spikes on a girl are overkill! (perhaps that's not a bad thing).

I'm also really interested in listening to the final compo!

ok shit I really need to get that soundcard or else all I could contribute is what I have on CD which is Acid and Chastain, though on LP the only other band I have is Malteze - I gues most everyone here is in a far better position to contribute...

You're in a slight better possotion than me my friend!I got nothin' on cd except Taist Of Iron and Blacksmith.

Speakin' of Blacksmith,i think that their "Louder Than Hell"song is a total ripper and should be on the comp...............

Right, i've been a busy boy & have scrounged up many of the titles mentioned in order to compile this damn thing, can someone supply these missing ones?
KILLERHAWK,
MALIBU BARBI,
ALOHA,
ORIGINAL SIN,
CARRIE,
MESSIAH FORCE,
MASQUE,
MALTEZE
I've not been able to turn up any of the songs mentioned by these bands, help a brother out and we'll make this comp a killer!

I listened to Battlefield - We come to fight yesterday. Rather dull in my opinion (I only listened to side A). Anyway from a swedish point of view I was very amused to finding out their songstress' being called Conny while their drummer was going under the name of Gerd.

As for favourites...
Early Girlschool does it for me - no poses (neither "sexy" or "aggressive"), no (supposedly) angelic mumbo-jumbo. Just heads down Rock'n'Roll.
Hammers of Misfortune is another one. Two (sort of ) new albums in October from what I have heard. Should be a treat.

Yeah Right!

I'm huge fan of making "thematic" comp-CDRs and I was thinking maybe we should make a sticky "acquired listening"-thread somewhere where we post the finished result of this comp and others like it. If anything it should be a good introduction to the spirit of the forum for new members 8)

My nominees so far:
Noson Y Blaidd - Y DIAWLED
When Lightning Strikes - MALIBU BARBI
Conjuration Of The Watcher - ORIGINAL SIN
Remember The Past - KILLERHAWK (unfortunately there's no known copy w/ perfect sound :( )
Jean D'arc or Killerhawk - CRYSTAL PRIDE
Valkyrie - MALISHA
Voron Vikin - DUBL'1
Back With A Vengeance - MASQUE
+ whatever classics from MALTEZE, ACID, ZNÖWHITE, CHASTAIN etc we'll agree on.
