Well, it's in the exact same vein as the other two Apocrypha albums.

Same Power/Thrash with highly technically guitar work.

I'm a big fan of this sub-genre, so I do own this album and I tell you from first hand experience that it's not just an all out guitar-wankery, shredfest album that the likes of Malmsteen/Satriani/Impellitteri would release.

If anything those solo-effort releases should be removed, because they are exactly that.

Another question:
Does anyone have the Canadian Cobra Records pressings of CARNIVORE - s/t, KING DIAMOND - Abigail and POSSESSED - Beyond The Gates? I THINK these might have been out on Cobra, but I'm not 100% sure. I just need the serials.

Once upon a time I thought that might be an interesting label based on those releases, however the only others I could find were these:

QUEST1 The Groundhogs - Razor's Edge
QUEST2 Hear and Now - Gong
QUEST7 Glitter Band - Live at the Marquee!

Those 3 made me lose interest pretty quickly.

I kinda figured those missing releases most probably wouldn't be Metal. Aw well, one less label to worry about then.

The copy that I have is on Compact Disc, under the Shrapnel Label, but this CD was also released under Roadracer (Roadrunner) in Europe which is fairly common because in a lot of cases in Europe Roadrunner licenced and distributed for Shrapnel. This was also availible on vinyl in 1990. Pretty easy to find if you do a GEMM search.

I don't know if that was discussed in the past 13 pages of this thread but under Active / Axis section there's mentioned that Anacrusis - Suffering Hour was also released on a CD by this label, however it's just the same bootleg as the first EXE album.

That's true, I must have skimmed over that...

The original was only released on Metal Blade in CD format.

Yesterday I added a HUGE Combat Rec-discography. Plenty of missing titles as usual, but the circumstances are a bit complicated. Read more in the intro.

Now I'm working on the Steamhammer catalogue and could use some help. In order to figure out what was released and in which order I need the serial numbers for the Steamhammer pressings below. I have the SPV numbers (usually something like SPV 08-18## or SPV 08-75##) but in the beginning they also had a serial system looking something like SH 00##. If nowhere else they should be printed on the label.

Many thanx. I realized I forgot to do a proper checkup on what early COMBAT stuff came out on CD, so after some googling I added some more. There might still be some rare ones missing though.

Another Steamhammer-release that might have a SH 00##-serial:

About the Avanzada Metálica page: the avanzadametallica.net URL relates to metal in the Dominican Republic & has no connection to the Mexican label. Just clearing that up.
