Had a chat over the phone with one of those guys too a few years back.

...oh, and more on your previous query after the weekend

What band might that be? I hope it's Heavy Load!

So was anyone from hereabouts the winner? I'm not surprised at the final amount, but it was still well out of my range.

Don't think that guy is on the forum. Funny how 3/4 of the high end obscure metal records are always bought by the same handful of people.

Holy shit, I have seen this record for 40-70 euros 3 or maybe 4 times.

Yeah, rattlehead14 wins again :) I think this one brings more than that to buyers outside of Europe; I guess few copies made it overseas.

And yeah, many of the big ticket items are won by the same few people. I don't know who lordblackcat is but he's got one helluva record collection based on the items I've seen him win over time.

Oh well, I doubt it was the last copy that will ever be offered for sale... always another fish in the sea.

$436.00
Almost belongs in the Insane eBay Auctions thread. I can't remember when I saw a Swedish 7" go that high before. Could it be a record?

 indeed, well, the shitty thing is that this one goes into the Popsike-archive. Sellers all over the world now think this is at least worth > 400.

No doubt. A good reminder why one should use Popsike's rating system more often. Fight The Power!

Exactly right! Before i make purchases these days I check Popsike for a comparitive price and always make sure I rate it 'overpriced', if more people adopt this habit it may return some good old haggling power to the buyer...

I'm going to start doing that as well! 8)
The only problem is that dealers will probably start noticing what's going on, and they'll react and mark everything as 'cheap'.
