FUCK! I typed a massive response to this and it got deleted when my computer froze...

Summary:
- Heavy Artillery fucking rules.
- This is actually Side 2 of the original comp, not the second volume.
- "Heavy Artillery Vol. 2" was in the early stages when the idea was scrapped and the project was cancelled. That was around 4 or 5 years ago.
- Ive since got most of the (known) material from all of these bands, except for Real Steel, who have an album thats elusive as fuck and a 7" that seemingly disappeared off the face of the earth.
- I know a guy who's ex wife has a copy of the Real Steel album (Auburn's rarest release!)...but she refuses to give it to him or let him copy it for me!
- That guy personally knew them, and filmed shows for everyone from REAL STEEL, to DOFKA and BRICK MISTRESS, to BLACK DEATH, to ABSOLUTE ZERO, to SHOK PARIS, and pretty much everyone else in Ohio. He had tons of unreleased stuff and one-of-a-kind stuff he filmed himself...and it was ALL lost in a massive house fire.
- In the fire was the only existing video footage of PSYCHO SCREAM's last show....and other stuff that I would kill to see.
- Rebellious Angel never released anything else, and only recorded one other song at most.
- The Terror demo listed in the tape under "Also Available" never got released. However, you can listen to a track from it on the Terror myspace.
- This was Destructor's last recording with Dave Holocaust, and is taken from the only finished recordings from thier then-upcoming album, which were compiled on a demo and never released anyway.
- After this release John Marshall would leave Torment, and they'd become Ritual. John Marshall died several years later, which is a fucking shame because his voice is amazing.
- This Attaxe song was written solely by Greg Perry from Purgatory. He was with them for a little while, before starting a new band with Kenny from Purgatory, Juan from Ritual/Attaxe, and Calvin from Chemikill. This band would later lead to the formation of Mystik, and Attaxe using a ton of songs Greg wrote after he left (such as Pedal To The Metal)
- Wretch, Breaker, Hatrix, Destructor, Attaxe, The Spudmonsters, Purgatory, Real Steel, and Chemikill have all reunited long after the original release. Plus, a Terror release is in the works (followed by a reunion) and a Severe Warming release is in the works (possibly also followed by a reunion....if Dave Fox is up to it).
- A Decimation release is possible, although unlikely. If they did do it, it would be a VIOLENCE reunion, not a DECIMATION reunion (which I would prefer...hahaha). Coincidentally, the song on Heavy Artillery was recorded as a Violence song, and used under the name Decimation long after that lineup was changed. Im not sure if this version of "Silenced..." was on the Violence demo, but hopefully Ill be finding out soon.
- Chemikill has mostly recorded their NEW ALBUM...for release on Auburn in '08. FUCK YES!
- Heres a scan from the original tape...

The original message was a lot longer, so I was really pissed when it got deleted....

EDIT------------------------------------------------

I forgot to mention. The closet thing I can think of to a 2nd Heavy Artillery was an Auburn CD Sampler given out at the Black Death/Purgatory/Real Steel/Destructor reunion show (at the BW&BK 6-Pack Weekend in 04), THAT I COULDNT FUCKING GO TO. It includes a lot of awesome unreleased stuff, that has never been released on cd before or since, and stuff that just completely kicks ass. Plus everything is remastered and some of it is a lot better sounding then the originals.

Tracklist....
01 - Shok Paris - Go Down Fighting
02 - Shok Paris - Go For The Throat (Never on cd before this)
03 - Destructor - Sonic Bullet
04 - Destructor - Destructor (Live 2002) (Unreleased at the time)
05 - Breaker - Luck And Gasoline (Demo 2004) (Unreleased at the time)
06 - Breaker - Still Life
07 - Purgatory - Tied To The Trax
08 - Purgatory - Deep Into The Red (EP Version, REMASTERED! Never released on cd ever)
09 - Wretch - Reborn (Advance) (Unreleased at the time)
10 - Aftershok - Against The Rage (Advance) (Unreleased at the time)
11 - Manimals - Blood Is The Harvest (Never released on cd before or after)
12 - Real Steel - Never Mind The Money (Advance track from the 2004 reunion album that never happened! Still unreleased...)
13 - Nightcrawler - Soldier In Time "2004" (Recorded live in the Basement in 2004 w/ Jim Hamar of Breaker on vocals and Ken Easterly of Purgatory on drums!)
14 - Black Death - The Hunger (first time on cd, hopefully will be released again soon! )
15 - Black Death - Taken By Force (From 4-track Demo, 1982. Not the version from the Cleveland Metal LP! This sounds amazing remastered, and so much clearer then on the original demo tape. Never released on cd before or after)
16 - Havoc - Chainsaw (album version, first time on cd unless you count the bootleg)
17 - Havoc - Enter My Mind (from 1984 Demo. Sounds a lot better remastered, but Dave Hughes still kicks Kevin Mahoney's ass. Only time on cd.)
18 - Jag Panzer - Chain of Command ("From the album 'Chain of Command-1987" :D)

If your intersted I can upload some of these bands demos/unreleased stuff, or that Auburn CD sampler.

In September I should be getting a 1 TERABYTE hardrive with remote access. That means even if my computer is off you can type in my IP address and access my hardrive from anywhere on earth! I can just email people URLS, along the lines of http://(my ip)/my shared folder/shok paris/01 - go down fighting.mp3 and the files will be accesible....so Ill never need to upload stuff ever again and I can send people stuff effortlessly, without wasting time 'rar'ing and uploading. Itll be great.

Anyway, right now Im planning on uploading some new rips. I just did them, and figured "why the hell not". So Im uploading a live Shok Paris show and rips of Purgatory's S/T EP copied straight from the masters in '85. The masters are now nonexistant, but the tape they were copied to by the guitarist sounds AMAZING. The rips are flawless, except for a little bit of tape his, but either way, these are the best rips of it Ive heard. I was really excited to get the tape, because all the rips Ive heard have some kind of flaw (including my rips of the original 12")....one is great sounding except for an annoying beeping the background all the time. Some rips are full of static, i heard one rip that was horribly clipped (way too loud, to the point of distortion). Those will be up later today.

Many thanks for the scans! I think i have material from every band except Real Steel like you Bloodofchrist. Everything ranges from very good to great, escpecially Severe Warning, Torment and Terror. Also, I don't think i have something else from Trigger Zone apart from the compilation track but i don't know if there's any other recorded material from them.

My favorite tracks on Heavy Artillery are those of Attaxe, Torment, Terror, Destructor, Titan Force and Sacred Heart, amazing bands indeed.

By the way, the EP of Purgatory is great and is my favorite release from the band. I have two different rips of it that are not extremely good. I'll have to check yours as well i think.

It really would be great to hear that 2 Volume!

Hey John! I actually just found this old topic and realized I dont think I ever saw your reply before. Trigger Zone has 1 demo tape and a shitload of random unreleased stuff. I cant upload of it because I think the members have future plans for the stuff, but I can upload a few songs this weekend.

Kenny, you had sent me all the Trigger Zone stuff some months ago! Some kind of a 'best of' album, the '94 demo and a couple of other tracks if i remember right. Thanks again of course!

Any chance of a re-upload of this entire compilation?

My copy was forgotten with my old roomate upon having moved into my own place a while back and he has since claimed it as his own and refused to mail it back to me, hahaha... the bastard. He's lucky he lives in another city or I'd kick his ass and take it back! One day when I have the time... /end rant.

......Please?
