Mr.Ogre is there a possibility of reunion of Jonah Quizz?Have you spoken with Johan Langqvist?Man i am really dying about more JQ stuff.
In a future reunion from JQ in Sweden you must be sure that there will not be only Swedes...
Are the other members still interested in metal or in playing?
Will the future rerelease be also in Cd?
Dan i knew you would agreed about JQ superiority in comparizon with Europe,Heavy Load,Malmsteen together.

Bold words is what i liked the most!DaN wrote:Well, it's always kinda hard to compare a band with just a handful of demo tracks to their name with bands having released several albums, but in this case I'd have to agree.Fucking Åmål wrote:JONAH QUIZZ made better music than all the MALMSTEEN,EUROPE and HEAVY LOAD albums together!!!That's the truth.

I didn't think you were exaggerating. In fact, i believe that almost every man can share your opinion above, which, by the way, is completely normalFucking Åmål wrote:I hardly exaggerate generally when expressing my opinions.

What is Jonah Quizz for Swedish metal is Messiah for US Metal. But again i tell you this is not your style, your style is high pitched vocals and high-octane drumming/riffing so it is normal for you not to like them.hload wrote: don't know , but sure are better than messiah.....bo .o...o....o....o....o...o...o..o...o.....o....o....o....o.....o....ring......"me...e......e......e.....tal"..........where are these fuckin emoticons when you need them.......
There is a Jonah Quizz mania in this forum which is very cool!ION BRITTON wrote:I didn't think you were exaggerating. Regarding me and Johan L i can gladly inform you and everyone else that we have recently rejoined in the rehearsal studio

Let me tell you theres lots of great JQ-metal music created since our last
demo, and it would be interesting to give it a chance and see where it leads us. If there's gonna be such a thing as a reunion, and ONLY IF - you will all be invited - rest ashure! Future releases will of course be cd's.....
And thanx for the great words in comparision to other MEGA bands.
It's a bit crazy to be honest - Jonah Quizz hasn't even produced one single LP or cd - YET........hehe

I've never heard of JQ before, but after reading through this thread I decided to give the demo a listen (thanks to whoever uploaded it on an earlier page). Wow, stunningly good stuff!
Quick question: where did the name "Jonah Quizz" come from? Is it Swedish?

Actually the name came out of 2 separate words, Jonah ( you now Jonah and the whale - a biblical story AND Quizz as in Quizz meat ( bad or rotten meat ), and of the record Jonah is pretty close to Johan - rightnightsblood wrote:I've never heard of JQ before, but after reading through this thread I decided to give the demo a listen (thanks to whoever uploaded it on an earlier page). Yes indeed!! The mighty JONAH QUIZZ!! Just further proves that some the Swedish demo acts like JQ, AKT, VERDICT, INSANE etc. were maybe better than many of the vinyl greats of the time.......Fucking Åmål wrote:Requested by Mr.Ogre original member of Jonah Quizz. The demo of his own band!!!!
Jonah Quizz no matter what you say is one of the 10 best Swedish metal bands ever existed.I recommend everyone in this forum who likes classic heavy metal to download this. There is no excuse for everyone not to love that stuff.

This has always been my opinion too. As a whole I've never considered Swedish Metal that much superior to the rest of Europe. I guess we fall somewhere in the middle qualitywise. For some strange reason, record-releasing, decent-yet-mediocre bands like TORCH, AXE WITCH, PARASITE, OVERDRIVE, MINDLESS SINNER etc never had poo-poo on demo/7"-acs like ZONE ZERO, ACT/VERDICT/AKT, JQ, AMBUSH, BEHEMOTH etc.nar marratuk wrote:Just further proves that some the Swedish demo acts like JQ, AKT, VERDICT, INSANE etc. were maybe better than many of the vinyl greats of the time.......
..so please bear with us if we get a little overexcited when a band like JONAH QUIZZ finally gets the attention they always deserved. We're not putting anyone on a piedistal here, it's just that we lived under the dictatorship of the unholy E*****-aesthetics of "metal" during the major part of the 80's and now the hour of revenge is finally here
