Manners, DaN, manners...

HUGE thanx for this one. What can I say? Simply perfect "debut-demo-Metal". Leave it to the Italians to get it right on the first take. Even with shoddy playing & production they always knew how to write great songs that stick in your head, übersimple though they may be.

It was always one ofmy best italian demos along with Spitfire"s,Touch of Devil,Nitecomers e.t.c....Italian bands from the early 80"s were so british sounding you could say that they were british and not italian !!!Shining blade for example and this one m Rollerball.Much much better than the lp they released..this should be released at any format, ilove that primitive sound!!!

You don't happen to have that Spitfire demo? I simply LOVE their Blade Runner single and would like to hear the demotape also. I agree with you that early 80s bands from Italy sounded very british but so did bands from many other countries too, Sweden for example.

Yes, you are right,Early swedish bands ,some of them, had lots of common with british bands... I like so much the Paradize single, reminds me a bit of Saracen if they were inthe 70"s!!!i am not much into keyboards in metal, unless they fit,but i love the sound ofkeyboards i n Paradize..As about spitfire, you can hear the demo in the latest Spitfire cd called "heroes in the storm"(??)if i remember well the title..i willlook and tell you..the demo anyway just KILLS!!!!!!

Nitecomers?I haven't seen anywhere this band mentioned. Is this really a superb Italian demo or another overrated rare one?Anyone else has heard it?

Yes the Spitfire 86 demo is great. The single kicks ass too.

Spitfire released all their old material in the compilation CD Heroes Of The Storm.Sadly i haven't been able to track down the cd for years.Seems it is rare and those who have it don't sell it.

Spitfire Cd is not that rare as you say,i think.why dont you ask Andromeda records and check if is there any possibility the cd to be still available.Nitecomers is classic metal ,there are tons of italian demos from the 80s that deserve to be heard and some of them i still havent heard..i am a fan of that scene especially of the 80"s i have a list of a tape trader from italy with whom i used to trade tapes, unfortunately not anymore, and i have it as a guide of italian demos..he had some rollerball live shows in 1983(!!!!) gunfire live shows from the same period and many more.Even shining blade live shows.
