Ok, just some recommendations.

What's the best Aria? Black Obelisk?

How hard is it to find that Holostoj Vystrel LP?
the Holostoj... LP is findable. I may be able to get it for 20...30 Euros if you want, assuming it is still there. But it's worth every penny. PM me if you want, or if you want to do a nice trade again.

Terekhova joined the band after the CD was recorded. The nice guitar sound comes from whoever played the gutars on the album, probably Strike himself.

Now that they have Terekhova they may pull better live shows, hopefully. Basically it is a girl band created and sponsored by Aleks Strike (Master's giutarist) and I doubt the playing skills were the most important factor by which the girls got selected... at least for some of them ;).

Anyway, I dont know how popular they are becoming in Russia, but seems that Bart Gabriel is their new "promoter," so undoubteldy they will make it big abroad soon

Lately I’ve been searching for lesser known Metal/HR releases on the Melodia label. Until recently I wasn’t really sure weather bands like XX VEK, STATUS, DATA etc came out on vinyl or not, but apparently they did. There were a lot of bands on this label that recorded some very mixed up material, lightweight rock/pop mixed with a handful of decent-to-great HM cuts and the collector-bug has once again bitten me.. badly!

So, I’d like to know what unknown/seldom mentioned Melodia-releases you know of that included at least one great Metal track. Few albums on the label could be considered really rare, but they can still be a bitch to find if you don’t even know what you’re looking for.

Both ADEM albums 1988 and 1989 have been re-released on CDs not so long ago by Moon Records from Ukraine. I bought two boxes directly from their drummer - he lives in USA now. Not bad thrash metal in the Bay Area style, kinda Testament wanna-bee.

K.P.P. are/were very cult in Ukraine. Remeber the funny clip of Sam Kinisson making a crazy cover of Wild Thing? That's exactly what K.P.P. was - a HUGE 150 kilos frontman with throaty voice rasping obscene lyrics over some mellow hard rock tunes :)

Some questions, sorry:

* One question to the experts here: Was anything from Oblachnyj Kraj released on LP ?

* What is this ? The band Oblachnyj Kraj ?

http://cgi.ebay.de/PATRIOT-OBLACHNYJ-KR ... p1638.m118

* By the way, got the DIV - Mein Kampf LP today. Thrash massacre. But their later stuff seems pure Nazi-Oi-shit ?

The only OK album released on vinyl is Svobody Zahoteli - their most "traditional" Metal effort I'd say. All other recordings were tapes recorded in the early-to-mid 80's (all reissued on CD) and 2 newish albums released on CD in the late 90's/early 00's.

The first link is a CD with the 1st and 3rd tape album. It's great, really original Kraut/Heavy/Folky stuff, but they didn't really become "Metal" until "Vershina Idiotizma". That one + "Ublyujya Dolya" and "Stremya I Lyudi" was their highlight imo.

Never heard of PATRIOT, but if there's an OK connection I need to know more.

As for DIV, that "Mein Kampf" LP sounded like your regular, watered-down US Techno Thrash to me. The "666" demo/CD on the other hand is excellent!

"Patriot" is the title of a CD by Oblachnyj Kraj. It's just that their logo is hidden on the album cover on that Ebay auction.

This album is more folkish rock. Well, nothing to do with your usual US/Irish crap with a vulgar female voice to be broadcasted on MTV. More the same Russian feeling one can find on the Svobody Zahoteli album, but more rock'n'rollish this time. With the same madness sometimes too. I like this one very much.
Gott ist tot.

Which Kruger releases are worth getting? Those CD-Maximum releases are quite cheap, are they legit as well?

CD-Maximum are legit.

KRUGER are very underrated band! Early stuff is raw thrash, while more recent is like Motorhead on crack. They are trio now with a tasty chick handeling bass and sharing raspy vocals with Mr. Hamer, and I dig it very much! The new album is awesome shit!

Here are two songs from the new album "Flint and Steel":

FLINT AND STEEL
