Occult Heavy Metal: Vestal Claret - Ritual and Rehearsal demo with 2 original bonus tracks and 4 unreleased cover songs. This is the pre-production demo for the album and ep that were scrapped in favor of Hour of 13.The Agony Bag cover is an unreleased song granted to me by Clive Jones. Unfortunately it was never completed due to internal conflicts within the band. The lyrical ideas and concepts were used on the Hour 13 debut released on Shadow Kingdom Records. Hope you enjoy!

Raw pre-production demos, no final tracking but allot of time put into the writing and arranging that some may find as interesting...

I find rawness more and more satisfying. So I will gladly listen to your efforts. I'm also looking for some killer infusions. Ever thought to add some strange D(w)ar(r)k wave elements into your music?

Prettyplease don't mix DWARR and "dark wave" into one expression ever again. You just gave me migrane :(

Cheers for the Vestal Claret stuff, Phil. Been wanting to check them out for a long time. A Metal band covering AGONY BAG and MIGHTY SPHINCTER must surely be up to something good!

   Sorry. And I was so pleased over the term I coined. It came to me in an instant. Well I listened to Starting Over a lot and I find it quite pleasing, but I must admit that DW on it's own isn't really such. And I haven't heard the early versions of it yet.

Can anyone tell me how Vestal Claret sound like? OK, 'Occult heavy metal' is interesting, but to what degree? I have downloaded too many things that i haven't managed to hear yet, so there has to be a good reason for anything uploaded from now on...

That was of the ep review. The full length demo is much broader metal based.

Yes I had hoped, but bridging that gap between death rock and heavy metal proved difficult once attempting the full length with the line up as it were.

I find this to be robust Heavy Metal with a heavy 70's vibe (they're similar to Pentagram some times, and of course a very preveilant Sabbath influence from Paranoid and onwards), great vocals and the guitars mixed too low, heh!

Ion, the material is quite catchy. I don't know if the 'occult' thing leads to to think of the italian school or Black Widow, but I don't get that vibe from here. Perhaps with lyrics in hand I would.
