I think that MW are posers, like a lot of this new bands are coming out. They just copy 80's bands, even in their clothes. That's pretty poser to me. I found SSS to be on a similar vein, but more honest.
Plus their last record is called "The Art Of Partying", so what would you expect.
I like much better Merciless Death, even though they're probably posers as well, at least their music is better. But still, I think Funerot kicks all this bands asses, since their music is old school but without being "retro" shit. Is not an imitation of old bands, but their own style and music, and still prety fucking old school.
I think that's what's important, and what I tried to do with my band too. I wanted to do old school music, but my own way, not sounding like X band from the past. That's crap.

Personally I like some of the newer thrash bands on the scene bu MW aint one of them. Give me VIOLATOR or MERCILESS DEATH or WITCHTRAP any day. Best of all the mighty DESTRUCTOR comes back over 20 years after their debut and blows them all to shite!!

I was born on a dark winter night thunder and lightning greeted me...
come on
i dont really like municipal waste on record (they are fun live), but calling them posers simply because they are young dudes playing thrash is a little ridiculous. when i saw them the guitar player had a KAT patch on his jacket and i was bullshitting with him for a bit about good metal. dude knows his stuff. a lot of kids getting into the thrash revival thing are sincerely into it, its not their fault they missed out on it the first time around.

exactly, nothing wrong with that. I saw Municipal Waste live once and it was big fun. It's not something I would buy though, it bores me pretty fast. But as long as it's done with passion I really can't complainkhiijol wrote:come on

@ cochino:
I always hear people using the word 'poser' and I think everyone has his or her own definition of that word. But why do you say 'Merciless Death are probably posers as well'? What do you mean with the word poser??
Young people who don't have all the obscure 80s vinyls? People who discovered thrash three years ago and decided to form a band? ...
