Wow, you bought some nice records recently but your wallet must feel a lot lighter too now :P

Last I got was this:
Moss - Chtonic rites 3LP

Never heard it, got it last week and still haven't had time to listen to it. Not actually metal, but I'm curious.

Bought 30 records for 20 euro's from a friend. Stuff includes things like Thin Lizzy live LP, MSG, Rainbow, 4 King Diamonds (had them on cd already, but "Abigail" on vinyl.. 8) ), etc, etc

...and got a Omen CD for free in a record store. It was 2 euro, but the shop owner had no change when I only could pay with a 20 euro note, so he gave it for free :P (Omen best of cd)

You lucky one.That buying from friends who are not interested in metal always turns out to be very worthy.Rub him a couple of 100Euro in front of his nose and he will soon be willing to sell his whole collection 8)

All on CD :

ARTCH , For the sake of mankind , I don't even think that this album was worth a rerelease, some highs but a lot of lows too ;

MEMENTO MORI , Rhymes of Lunacy & Life, Death and other morbid tales , two classic albums I was dearly missing, that's what I call Metal done with class !

Are Memento Mori actually worth checking out? I consider Messiah to be a good singer, and prefer him in Mercy than in Candlemass, but I'm not sure I'd want more 'candlemass-ish messiah metal'. Do they have their own identity, and most importantly, do they have good songs?

Well, MEMENTO MORI's music is somewhat more dynamic than CANDLEMASS' one. And the good songs aren't missing, without a doubt. Just don't wait for something 100% original. But that's high quality Metal IMO.

PS: The CDs usually don't sell for high sums, so you can even get them for less than 10€. Maybe try to get Rhymes of Lunacy first!

I saw some Memento Mori CDs in store a few weeks ago. But they didn't sound particulary great, so I didn't bother picking them up.
Though I like both guitar player and singer, it just didn't click for me.
