3 Mexican + 1 Malaysian HM comps just added to the Compilopedia, and now, FINALLY I've sorta run out of material for the Proper HM-part of the site.

Here's what I know is still missing:
3 European LPs, including one crazy test-pressing-only release
1 US LP
1 stupid obscure Central American one
+ maybe one South Korean one if memory serves me right...

Without namedropping these titles (trivia-challenge :D ), I'm curious if anyone out there can think of any 80's or early 90's Metal vinyl comps with at least one exclusive track that's still missing?

Would you consider a mixed punk/thrash comp as applicable?

Hell yeah. For the page, any comp w/ at least one exclusive Metal track has always been applicable.

They are available for streaming!
Cheers for those! I do add comp tapes as well if they're fairly professionally made, and/or of some importance for the local scene. These def' go on the to-do list :)

So funny, the first album that popped up in my head after your last post was this other Japan mix:
https://www.discogs.com/release/2956975 ... f-4-Tribes

...but this one has also been on my radar for a while. "XENOLITH OGER" = one of the greatest Thrash band names ever.

Attack of 4 tribes now on my radar :) with a band called 666 = mandatory to track down a copy.

If you want to start the process of reviewing Sword of Death to Thrash go for it, I'm expecting a copy to arrive eventually and can do the scans when it gets here.

666 (Triangle Of Death) is crazy noise on par with their Norwegian kült namesakes ...and equally Fun > good :|
Both these comps are on the "findable" part of the want list, so I'll do them once I get my own copies. That crazy local US comp above though - not so much, so Help needed!

DaN, as you expressed some curiosity about the Heyoka singles in your review of 'Talent n Texas Vol II', the easiest way to hear those is via the 2 Heyoka anthology albums 'The Spirit Of Revelation' & 'Secret Rarities'. I've yet to hear the latter but i have 'Spirit...' & there's some really great music on there. Their odd mix of styles is very much an aquired taste, but one worth acquiring.
They also earn extra bonus cult-appeal points for often using the myths & legends of Native American culture as lyrical, visual & musical inspiration. Several members of the group were Native American so it's all done with a high degree of reverence & it certainly set them apart from their peers.
'Texan Native American Prog Heavy Rock' is a fairly niche sub-genre but Heyoka owned it.

Here's the full 'The Spirit Of Revelation' album:

I just knew this would be a band you'd either react to or be familiar with. Big cheers for the link - only had time to skim it quickly but this was surprisingly great for a 2013 release. I'm hearing a lot of similarities to proggy NWOBHM there and best of all, zero 90's/00's vibes.

Here's the comp track:
