I'd prefer that at least Tomas an Rob would add their say even when they don't have a clue.

Tom is our long time member from down unda, that I still try to persuade to rejoin.

Fair enough, it makes sense to wait a while as there are so few songs still to be named.

Well spotted. Tracklist updated accordingly. Just 4 songs left to ID.

Easily skipped and still neglected. This and two other songs are quite outstanding, though. HxC/Iron Maiden cross?

The track nr.2 - is it Schenker(s) or related?

I like quite a few songs from the Mayhem LP, but overall your assessment is fair, too much filler & hi-jinx. Great cover illustration though.
Worth pointing out that the rhythm section were only 16 or 17 when the LP was recorded & the guitarist not much older. You can hear why they became such a big part of the classic Poison Idea line-up. Steve Hanford became 'Thee Slayer Hippy' & Craig Lower was renamed 'Mondo'. Guitarist Eric Olsen also appears on several P.I. releases under the nom-de-punk 'Vegetable'. And of course, the singer on the Mayhem album is Matt McCourt of Wild Dogs & Dr. Mastermind.
As for your question, there were no Schenkers involved with track 2 as far as i'm aware.

I missed out, had a quite busy last few weeks.

I definitely recognised that Mayhem track simmering in the back brain but wouldn't have recognised it in this mix, which seems to be a fairly common theme going on here :)

Nice to have you back Rob.
It seems that this particular Mayhem weren't quite as widely known as i'd thought, but Morbid Tapes & i knew them at least.
Time to reveal those few remaining unknown songs yet?

Personally I prefer the "As the World Burns" demo over the lp proper.

I appreciate your kind words Khnud, but don't consider myself expert in anything.
At best i'm merely an enthusiastic amateur, particularly in the knowlegeable company we keep around these parts.
Glad you continue to enjoy what i do though. More of the same in April?

+EDIT+
Apologies to both Khnud & Noisenik for mixing your names up in my original reply (which i've now amended) & thanks to Noisenik for pointing out my error.
Hope i didn't offend either of you fine folks with my sloppy gaff, apparently i should be taking more naps. (Insert 'creaky old codger' emoji here)
