And Metal Massacre 11 :D
Was suprised Power Metal was not yet on this compilation list, or does it not fit anymore?

Cheers for the nudges! Got both of these in the shelves here, and I just realized it's been almost a year since my last comp-updates so this fall will be a return to Comp-stüffs. Got a crazy backlog of obscure shit to choose from :)

In that case i'll nudge this in your direction in case you missed it:

A test pressing LP that was unearthed by someone at the 'Cardiff Music History' fb page & then shared on their youtube channel. The comp was recorded at a studio (imaginatively) called 'Studio 2' in Cardiff, Wales, in the early '80's ('82 seems likely), and 'Studio 2' was to be the LP's title.
For whatever reason it never got past the test pressing stage which is a pity as there's some really good stuff on it, particularly the Motorhead worshipping Mad Dog track 'A Switchblade For A Rose'.
10 songs, 7 bands, mainly Hard Rock/NWoBHM, with just one song falling outside those styles.

Tracklist:
01. Tok-io Rose - I'm In Love
02. Mad Dog - A Switchblade For A Rose
03. Human Touch - Don't Take Too Long
04. Vigilante - Silent Spectator
05. Chartered Hurricane - A Funny Way Of Showing You Love Me
06. Chartered Hurricane - Touch The Rocks
07. Vigilante - Victim Of Circumstance
08. Deadreckoning - A Taste Of Freedom
09. Lost Chord - Chasing Time
10. Tok-io Rose - Winters Tale

It looks like this:

Holy. Fucking. Cow.
I haven't even started listening to this one yet but a huge thanx for the pointer. Another utterly impossible Top Want then. With NWOBHM-collector-competition as well. Great. Just great.
edit: Just love that coffee cup stain for the extra bonus kult'n'obscure-find vibes...

..but as promised here's "Colorado Rocks" added:

That is the correct response. :D
Apologies for unintentionally adding another item to your impossible wants list.
Very much enjoyed your 'Colorado Rocks' review, and my belated thanks to you for putting me onto Alloy Czar a few years back, there's some really good stuff on that demo anthology.
I did however think that your description of the Magician song was untypically wide of the mark. Rather than sounding like Alice In Chains or 'early 90s alterno-HR', it sounds more to me like an AOR take on '80's Rush, with even a little nod to 'Spirit Of Radio' in the intro. Not my mug of darjeeling at all, but quite well done all the same.

Those first 2 tracks are great! But that Human Touch song just soils the whole thing

Suggestion:

https://www.discogs.com/release/1459168 ... dish-Power

Might contain a few non-metal acts but at least Azotic Reign and Fusion are metal bands. Perhaps a few other gems in there as well?

New candidates :

https://www.discogs.com/release/9865857 ... n-La-Calle

One unknown Hard rock band ESTRELLA NEGRA ( some videos on YouTube) , also some other names looks suspicious like SEGUNDA PLANTA with song " El diablo y el amor" ( Devil and Love ? )

Next comp. From Finland.

https://www.discogs.com/release/1156280 ... atsarvisia

Two Hard rock band mentioned here. TOUCH and LINDSAY GATE. Cheap copies of this LP still availalable . No one cares.

USA. two Hard&Heavy bands on this one. BLACK KNIGHT and WHITE NOISE.

lunaboy wrote: Thu Dec 01, 2022 11:14 pm This one contains just one hard rock band called METAGENESIS ( They had one LP out back in 1983 I think) . Kinda weak RUSH followers with some recycled riffs.
https://www.discogs.com/release/4595560 ... areChez-83
On that 'ShareChez '83' LP is the Bombay track any good? I ask because their guitarist (Derek O'Neil) played with a few interesting bands (Fury/Marshall Fury/Blazer Blazer/Ken Hensley's Shotgun) whilst he was living in the UK in the late '70s & he wrote or co-wrote that song 'Juanita' which Iron Maiden recorded as a B-Side. O'Neil also had a stint playing with Pat Travers too. With those connections i'd held out hope that Bombay might be interesting.
Finally got to hear this complete LP & can confirm that besides Metagenesis there's little else here that will interest Corroseumites. Their song 'Hey You' is also on their 'Got What She Wants' Mini LP, but it's been so long since i heard that i can't tell if it's the same version.
The Bombay song is merely AOR leaning Hard Rock, competent enough, but fairly run-of-the-mill stuff. The only other worthwhile song is the lively 'Elevator Shuffle' by Hooker which has lashings of rather firey guitar. Who knew Canadian Southern Rock was a thing?

Wow, that sleeve looks so untypical for an old local US-comp. Bar the hype sticker you'd think it would have come out of Bulgaria or former Yugoslavia

Wow
Talk about ARCHETYPE US Steel! No wheel-reinventing present but this is so right up everyone's alley I'm sure the price of this one will skyrocket soon. Also 1985 = quite Olde for this style, at least as far as local comps go. These type of bands were more often a few years behind their time..

If you ever find the time, I could use a quick & easy 1-file rip + front/back pics for the Compilopedia.
