Re: Requests
I'm on the look out for any recordings from the Irish band Raw Deal. Any attempts to contact them have unfortunately hit a wall but it seems like they did make some demo recordings so I'm hoping they exist out there somewhere. The guitarist Gerry Quigley plays blues these days and was taught by Eric Bell of Thin Lizzy. Here's a link to a bio page on them.

I'm also on the look out for a few other old Irish recordings which might be a bit less difficult to come by:
Sweet Revenge- Feel the Bullets Bite / Inside Your Head 7"
Stryder- Forcin’ Thru’ / Settle Down 7"
Assassin- Stealin' 7" (specifically the B side)
Freeway- Turn back 7"
Any early Mama's Boys singles
Cheers for any help!!

Re: Requests
As i just included the one song i had by them in the latest episode of Cult Of The Underdog, i was wondering if anyone had a rip of the complete 1983 'Spellbound' pic-disc EP by Black Magic they'd be willing to share?
https://www.discogs.com/release/4487612 ... Spellbound
I got that one song years ago off of Soulseek or a similar P2P site, but never did find anything else by them , or any info about the band either. Were they even a real group or was it a studio project put together to back up the excellently named 'Ida Claire'? Her vocal range was a little limited, but i always thought that 'Crossfire' was a really well written & arranged song.

Scratch this request. I've since heard the whole thing. Crossfire is the best song by a mile, the other 2 songs are rather safe sounding rock with definite new wave/pop leanings.
Seems 'Black Magic' was the singer's nom-de-plume rather than a band name, one she'd used in her prior career when she was apparently 'the highest earning stripper in Canada'. I can confirm that she was rather good at removing her clothes whilst gyrating to music, after a viewing of her Black Magic & The Pussycats - 'Leather & Lace' softcore porn vid (conducted purely for research purposes obviously).

Sorry, i felt it best to obscure Ms. Magic's nether regions on the cover before posting it on a family forum like The Corroseum:

ANNABEL LEE (Croatia) - Demo 1991 anyone?
Re: Requests
Why not just buy a physical copy? There's a Mint copy on Discogs for sale for less than $24.bobo wrote: ↑Sun Jun 09, 2024 5:37 pm I'm looking for lossless version of 7'' Bitch/Hellion US - I'm In Love/Nightmares.Thank you in advance !!!!

Never attribute to malice, that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

I don't have a record player and no means to rip it.Khnud wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2024 10:48 amWhy not just buy a physical copy? Re: Requests
Thanks a lot DaN! Cool stuff! The comparison you made is really not that off mark. I am not sure if the band really called themselves BM though, that probably comes from the old Yugo mag article (and to my memory the only other band to be dubbed BM by the editor there was Angel Witch). And I can provide scans of those 5 Hard Metal mag issues that were published BTW, rather non-UG stuff but it had Yugo bands such as Bombarder or Pergament featured of course.DaN wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 11:43 pmSorry for not noticing this earlier. Re: Requests
Thanx for the offer! I do think this mag might be too mainstream in general to fit the zine-archive though, but if you have other more underground publications, do let me knownaturom demonto wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2024 11:44 pmAnd I can provide scans of those 5 Hard Metal mag issues that were published BTW, rather non-UG stuff but it had Yugo bands such as Bombarder or Pergament featured of course.
