NWOBHM Local Comps
NWOBHM Local Comps
Here are the NWOBHM Local Comp rips requested by DaN. I found these on slsk, so they aren't my rips. Some really rare stuff. Some killer and some filler. I particularly like the Straight Six and Valkyrie tracks.

Wow, these are some great tracks! But why aren't the compilations complete?AxeCrazy wrote:Here are the NWOBHM Local Comp rips requested by DaN. I found these on slsk, so they aren't my rips. Re: NWOBHM Local Comps
Most local comps aren't entirely metal, for example, Kent Rocks only has about 4 or 5 metal songs on it, same with the Bridge Album. Whoever ripped these only included the metal songs. The Evil Within Us wrote:Wow, these are some great tracks! But why aren't the compilations complete?

Yeah, I guessed as much. Too bad though. I wouldn't have minded listen to the others.AxeCrazy wrote:Most local comps aren't entirely metal, for example, Kent Rocks only has about 4 or 5 metal songs on it, same with the Bridge Album. BTW: Which one is the Bridge album?
Re: NWOBHM Local Comps
The Bridge Album is most famous for the Tempest Ride track "Another Time Another Place", which is pre-Lyadrive. The other metal bands are Rough Cut, Heretic, and North Star, but none of those come close to Tempest Ride. The Evil Within Us wrote:BTW: Which one is the Bridge album?

I enjoyed that Heretic track. Is this another heretic or the same band that released 'Burnt At The Stake' EP?AxeCrazy wrote:The Bridge Album is most famous for the Tempest Ride track "Another Time Another Place", which is pre-Lyadrive. Agreed!Black Axe wrote:Someone needs to track that band down and release an anthology with those demo's!
We need to get Malc to post here at the Corroseum forum. His NWOBHM book is incredible. (And hopefully he'd post some of those Valkyrie demos too...)steelagacy wrote:hey, thanx for the Valkyrie track,i was looking for that for years now...Malc macmillan had told me about that when we had met in scotland ,the band has two demos and possibly one more but i havent heard yet,i know though about the existence of those demos.Macmillan has these demos .i was trying to track the band down but with no sucess..
