(Lord Of) Putrefaction's early demo track "Tafophobia" rips off that fast main riff from Slayer's "Jesus Saves."

Don't know if this has been posted, but the middle part of Under the Oak by Candlemass is exactly the same than the first part of Camel's Mystic Queen.

And Mustaine for sure has seen this band live when Metallica spent some time in New York, shortly before they kicked him out...

This can't be a coincidence, not just the riff, the whole songs seems a rip-off

Not a riff, but can't help but notice very similar melody in vocals between Lucifer's Heritage - Daed Of Night 1985 and Vixen - Living In Sin 1981-1983 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM4I7oIvkRo

I remember listening recently a song that borrowed from If Heaven Is Hell from Tokyo Blade, but I don't remember at all neither the band nor the song

Dug dugadug riff in Adramelch's "Dreams of a Jester" = dug dugadug riff in Atheist's "On They Slay".

Re: Same Riff??? (Riff-Off)
Just noticed Rude Awakening's 'You Mean So Much' manages to pilfer Iron Maiden's 'Prodigal Son' & weld it onto Ace Frehley's 'Fractured Mirror' yet they still manage to turn gold into excrement with some of the sappiest lyrics you'll ever hear.

Re: Same Riff??? (Riff-Off)
Has anyone else noticed one of the riffs in The Deluge by Manilla Road sound very similar to Golden Showers by the Mentors?

Re: Same Riff??? (Riff-Off)
No comments necessary, but it is fascinating how some of these bands just shamelessly nicked a Big Classic Metal-Riff and then went their own way with it. There's plenty more examples from this particular scene for sure...

Just realised that Danzig's 'Snakes Of Christ' was (ahem) 'inspired' by The Dictators' 'Minnesota Strip'. Contrast & compare...
