Is this thing still going?
It is. At least for me, I've come to appreciate it even more in later years. It's become the ritualistic 'Mancation' event of the year <---- proof of getting Olde!
Concerning the line-up, I Think it turned out surprisingly great. I'm only missing that one special once-in-a-lifetime booking (since I've already seen ARIA and C-MASS feat. JL) but at least JUGGERNAUT, SACRED RITE and CITIES will be a first, so that's something. And SATAN, SOLSTICE, CULPRIT and AGENT STEEL haven't disapponted me in the past...
And records. And hopefully more zines
Just logging in to announce my appearance. Like my companion Dan, in many ways I feel KIT has become even more important as I’ve got older. It’s the ultimate dad’s trip, where I can pretend like my steel is actually true and I can obtain heaps of records with money my family doesn’t need. I’ve learned not to believe I can still drink like I used to.
Scenes I expect to see much of include the stands in the venue, ticket que, crates chock full of HRR represses I have to flip through as they occasionally conceal real records, first two posters in this thread in the vicinity of a car trunk (some of the best times), currywurst.
Also, will be magical and perhaps emotional (in a dad’s trip kind of way, erotic but awkward) to enjoy those immortal Manilla Road classics one last time.
Also present for the third year in a row again (I took a bit of a KIT-break before that, going only every now and then), with the misses. She keeps an eye on what I spend (and that's probably a good thing) and I'm not a dad yet, so cannot pretend I am in that fase already (but sure sounds appealing!).
