Cheers! Fixed now. Keep 'em coming, folks..
A couple of weeks. Luckily I didn't have to do each page separately but could use some clever search-&-replace trickery on all pages at once. The most difficult challenge was "how the hell do I turn 2000+ separate html-pages into one searchable database-table??" but I figured out a pretty clever way to do that too. (Won't bore anything w/ tech details, ha ha)
I haven't really thought about recruiting reviewers yet. I guess if someone with really rare stuff (and not too shitty taste ) wanted to write something that'd be ok. ...and I could never turn down anyone who have contributed to The Metalpage in the past. FULL scans of the sleeve is an absolute must though!Noisenik wrote: ↑Sat Nov 10, 2018 8:44 pm DaN, if I understood you correctly members and perhaps others are welcome to add new albums and write new reviews? What are the rules? Same as on both almost lost pages? I guess not bcs you omitted post 1999 releases. But you have been probably brooding on them, huh? Let us know, one member has already asked me, if he could send sth new.
He is member here and had contributed there., one member has already asked me, if he could send sth new.
This is a really weird bug that sometimes happens when you use the English translation-plugin on some reviews. Googling this problem doesn't turn up any relevant results, so it might take a while for me to figure out what's causing this..
- Unknown/lesser known / underrated old Metal vinyl is of course first priority, but early private CD releases are also interesting. Demos I think are almost an entire separate ocean that might need a separate section in the future, when we've run out on records to dig up.
Oh Hell Yezz! Actually I was planning on asking you about that since your US 7"-collection is Pure GOLD for this Project. Whenever you've got the time & inspiration, just write->scan->mail me.
I second that motion! You've steered me towards many very interesting records here over the years khnud, so i look forward to learning more from you via this endeavour.
Balls! I meant to edit my post, but i quoted by mistake. Please feel free to delete the comment i made above.bigfootkit wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 2:48 amI second that motion! And huge thanks to you DaN for salvaging & preserving all the archived reviews from those defunct sites.
