Cirith Ungol returns!
Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
For what it's worth, I saw them at F&F last year and they were amazing! Hoping to catch them again at Defenders.

And of course the obligatory non-metal Ashbury to follow them from festival to festival

Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
Rob sent me an email a few days ago, all things are going smoothly but they are playing very few shows at the moment. He mentioned that the new King of the Dead issue will be well worth picking up

Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
But it's too much fun trying to figure out why this band that's clearly not Metal is held in such high regards by those still digging into this musicbigfootkit wrote:Come now, let's try & stay on topic.Avenger wrote:And of course the obligatory non-metal Ashbury to follow them from festival to festival

Just got back from Keep It True, and let me just say this. Tim Baker is a GOD. Over and out.

Oh doG YES. What an amazing front man/Master Of Ceremonies! A CU reunion couldn't possible have been more perfect than this. One of the finest headline-shows at KIT so far. It's so... hm.. COMFY(!) that some things that should be great really are sometimes and just don't disappoints you.Khnud wrote:Just got back from Keep It True, and let me just say this. Tim Baker is a GOD. Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
Agreed guys, the show was really worth the while!
Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
This actually finishes my concert bucket list. There are no other bands I feel I absolutely have to see live. While I feel blessed to have been able to go to hundreds of concerts and catch all my favourite acts, some of which I thought I'd never get the opportunity to see (CU being one of them), there's a growing emptiness inside of me. Like it's the end of an era somehow.
Midlife crisis coming up?

Re: Cirith Ungol returns!
Seen the youtube videos. Very surprised that Tim Baker's voice hasn't aged at all because Cirith Ungol wouldn't be nearly the same without his screeching.
For curiosities sake, did they play anything from "Paradise Lost"?
