ME FIRST I GOT $$$ ANYONE?!?!
Need info on some records (OLD'n'LOCKED)
Does anyone know if the DEATH SS The story of Death SS 1977-1984 released on CD done by Fuel Records (Italy) is official? It's a pro and quality CD, but I prefer to be sure if I've spent 17€ for an official release and not a bootleg.
It seems that they've done a METALLICA demo rerelease on CD, which isn't the best sign for me... (See http://www.fuel.it for info!)
Thanks in advance!

I also have that cd, bought it a year ago. I have strong doubts about its originality. I think it's a fucking boot. I've stopped buying cd's from old bands, only vinyl for me.Mr Nuke wrote:Does anyone know if the DEATH SS The story of Death SS 1977-1984 released on CD done by Fuel Records (Italy) is official? I used to have both, but I've never heard about them coming together as a package. Some Explosion LPs came with a bonus flexi, but their 7" releases were always seperate as far as I know.humus wrote:Are all copies of Ground zero - Gate of death LP supposed to come with a 7"? In any case, I got one without the 7" so if anybody could upload that one in MP3, would be appreciated!

I have it, paid $80 for it a long time ago, quite good and scarce too. I have not listened to it for awhile so I hesitate to describe the styles of the 2 bands.

MEPHISTO are good, not easy to describe.
Nice/strange start of the record. First you hear an airplane, the some nice, Maidenlike Dualleads, then a Keyboardsolo !!!
The guitarists sounds like Maiden, Keyboards like Rainbow, the singer is typical spanish. Sounds like early 80ies, when the keyboard is present very melodic, if not quite heavy. Could eventually be comparable to HALLEY. If you are into Spanish Metal you should like this one. If you don't like Keyboards, beware !
MERGUS are not bad, but not as good as MEPHISTO.
Sounds a bit like LEIZE especially because of the singer.

Thanks for the info
INCUBUS: God Died On His Knees. Metal-Archives mentions:
Vinyl release of the demo tape. There are two different versions, the first one
by Gore Records (label run by Slatko Dolic R.I.P.) with high quality cover
printing and red vinyl. The second one was done by Nuclear Blast, the label
that distributed Gore. It's simpler and has with poorer production than the
original.
Is this true? Is the Gore Records version red?? What does the Nuclear Blast version look like?

* first version has lyrics and a bandphoto on the backside of the 7"-sleeve, second version doesn't
* first version is handnumbered .../666, while the second pressing isn't
* both of my versions are black vinyl.
* I can't remember a sound difference, would need to check it if wanted. However, the sound on the Harmony Dies sampler seemed to be best.
