They really need to reissue those two first Obsession albums on CD. Luckily I asked the band and they said a reissue is coming soon. I hope that is the case.
What's wrong with the Metal Mayhem reissues?

As far as I know they are bootlegs. The band declared them so.

Motorhead - Aftershock

I got the digipack edition today. I dunno but I like the Motorhead digipacks - sturdy and very very nice looking. The album of course rules.

Terrorwheel - Rhythm 'n' Murder

Very very cool and obscure Finnish band. If people like Motorhead-like speed metal with some punky tendencies and rough vocals - check it out!

Great LP. The SKYNYRD cover is well done and fits perfectly to their style.

I totally agree. I always somehow found Armored Saint's USPM style to be a little bluesy in execution. Adds to the charm.

Deathrider - Requiem

I probably should give up on finding this CD ever. Probably at the top of my wantlist for a looong time now. I saw it for 200 dollars...too much of a price for me. I would seriously consider it for 150.

Nasty Savage - Indulgence

I am giving it another try, but I do find their brand or thrash almost unlistenable.

Really? Weird - most people that are into thrash seem to like them. Granted to me Nasty Savage never played pure thrash metal. They were closest to that on "Penetration Point" but before that it was some weird power/thrash mix.

Deathrider - Requiem

Fuck I want this album so bad...

I find it too chaotic, lacking direction. the wocal lines and music do not fit well together. Not enough energy for thrash, not catchy enough for power. some good riffs and leads, but as a whole this is less than sum of its parts.

I can honestly see that. That is what I liked about the first two albums though - the chaotic approach and the slight-out-of-touch vocal lines make that one unique. I would say they have some catchy songs, particularly on the debut (see "Metal Knights") and the riffs and leads are mostly very good.
