"Collector Porn" - CD (2013)
I don't see what's so impressive about that picture. I think I own all of them except a couple which I don't find musically interesting but you don't see me posting picture after picture of all the highest priced rarities especially ones that he's already posted previously.

who cares, I don't have anything better to do and you should post pictures of them
. nobody else has posted in this thread for months and this thread is called "collector's porn" for a reason.

Dude, it's not easy at all to have those instead ... also I like to see these photos full of rare/great/not great/whatever-tastes-you-have cdsAvenger wrote:I don't see what's so impressive about that picture. Why don't you post something yourself ? More please ! (I'll post one later too)
I just don't see the point in posting 3 different pictures including Silence - Vision for example. I get it, he owns a copy and paid $1000 USD to purchase it.

Well, we can discuss for weeks or point fingers/laugh at him if you want, whatever ... 1000$ or 1$, makes no difference, at least for me (in the end, he is free to do what he wants with his money).
This is not the 'bargain' thread, but a 'post the photos of your cds' one.
And those are indeed very nice cds

It does make a difference for me. Considerable difference. The fun factor is much greater when you get a rarity for 5, 10, or even 50% of it's price, then when you just throw a lot of money at it to make it your own. It's the same difference as between having sex with a pretty woman after only buying her a few drinks while your charm and "know-how" took care of the rest, and paying an expensive prostitute. In the end, you end up with the same, but the difference is clear.Helstar wrote:but in the end, 1000$ or 1$, makes no difference, at least for me (in the end, he is free to do what he wants with his money).
I agree with what Heathen said but I also agree that this is not the bargain thread. What I don't understand is the need to post pictures of the same items over and over again especially under the circumstances of over paying. This is also a general collector thread. It's not necessarily where you post entirely high priced rarities.
This is why I enjoy the vinyl version of this thread better and it's more active then this one. People post a blend of everything rather then the same guy posting a Warzwolf record 5 times.

Time to post a new photo
I want to try something on a different "level" (less hyped/known cds - maybe)

I guess it isn't really necessary for many of these bands, but I'll write a little description same way... if you are interested to hear the most obscure cds you can find some samples on YT (for example both Sabotage songs and a couple of Benevolence ones are there)
1st row
Accessory (selfreleased press not the WVR, different cover)
Asmodis (GER, great underrated thrash/death)
Blind Insanity (GER, weird MCD with 3 songs in totally different styles)
Desolation (BRA, very raw thrash like early Sep/Sarcofago etc.)
mid row
Disaster (CAN power/thrash, bad singer and drums machine kinda ruins it)
Hardknocks 4 Way Split (feat. awesome Realm clones Benevolence, the other 3 bands don't even play metal)
Neophobia (AUS thrash, second cd released on Warhead Rec. - same Blathudah Eezee etc. label)
Overlord (GER, imho this is best thrash/death album on D&S, fail pressing with same Anguish cd barcode/cat.num.)
3rd row
Sabotage (SWE, terrific Black Sabbath cover band who made a couple of own songs and didn't fail at all !)
Tarrasque (UK thrash, could have been better without all those alternative/groovy/modern parts)
Tempestas (BRA, effective Death "Human" era clones)
Winter Bestowed (CAN, like early Dark Tranquillity played at 3x speed, crazy)
